Hello,

I bought an OASYS 76 two days ago.
Woks fine, even it has OS 1.0 and now expansions installed.

Since yesterday it shows a display message when it boots up, only the blue leds light up (under display, joystick). Nothing else happens.

The display shows a computer disconnected to a monitor (?).

Can anybody help me?
What does the message mean?
What could be defective?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards Frank

It sounds like your screen has become disconnected. Unplug your OASYS and pull out any audio cables (because the screen will hit them, when you lift the top panel).

Open up the OASYS, by taking out 1 screw out of each side. Each screw is located near the center of the side panel, where the top of the keys meet the lip of the interface panel.

When the screws are out, lift up on the top panel. This is the main panel with the screen, sliders and buttons on it. As you lift, watch the screen and make sure it isn't hitting anything.

This hasn't happened to me, but others have said that you have to reconnect the screen cable (one of the ribbons, I believe).

Supposedly, it is an easy fix. When you are done, close it up.
