|
|
Hello, new to the MS20 here.
I want to control the Modulation Generator's frequency with the mod wheel.
For example, pushing up will increase the frequency, will pulling down will decrease the frequency.
Here's what I'm trying to achieve:
I have the Lowpass filter oscillating by the way of the Modulation Generator. It sounds like the "wah wah" effect. I want to control the speed at which the 'wah' effect occurs.
Any tips? |

As far as a I can work it out, this is not possible. There is no part of the patch bay dedicated to MG Frequency. You can bring the effect of the MG on the filter in and out by patching
MG OUT - MOD VCA IN
MOD VCA OUT - LP FILTER CUTOFF
MOD WHEEL OUT - MOD VCA CONTROL INPUT
Turn up Cutoff Frequency Modulation EG2/EXT
This has a similar effect but not what you are looking for. If you run 2 oscillators and have a bit of wobble in your tuning it can sound similar to increasing the frequency as you bring the mod wheel in. _________________ 01/WFD - M3 - MS-20 - Volca Bass - Volca Beats - Volca Keys - electribe emx2 - Monotron - KP3+ - iPad with too many Korg apps

Thanks!
It's not really an issue since I can manually turn the Frequency knob, and I was just trying to figure it out for practice sake.
I've learned a lot in just a few days.
EDIT: Thanks for the suggestion, very cool effect! |
