after about a hour the touch screen has gone wild again, now you have to press
half a inch under the buttons...........
Look's like I will have to change the touch screen.
If i can calibrate one more time I will try to save the global settings...

There was a bug fix in OS 2.0.5 that was related to screen calibration.
Quote:
The calibration data created by using the "Touch Panel Calibration" command has not been correctly reflected in the system after the power-on reset. This has been fixed.

You may want to try installing this update if not already installed. It might get you a few more months of use but when the touch screen starts to fail it usually isn't too long before it completely dies. I think mine hung in there for about 6 months all the while trying to guess where to touch the screen because it was so far off.

If you get desperate waiting for a part you can use the M3 editor for many things.

Thanks Bald Eagle,

I did install the upgrade with no change, so the touch panel will have
to be replace. That wont be to painfull, I bought my used M3 at a
music shop, It's on a 3 month warranty, only the touch screen will be
charge (29$ US on ebay ) but I will have to do without the keyboard for a
while.

I followed your suggestion and installed the M3 EDITOR, there's almost
everything there.

By the way on the link in the forum (to buy the touch screen) there out of
stock. Theres a couple of links on ebay that still have some stock.

Thanks again

This is where I got mine, it's a complete kit as well as the original manufacturer. Fast shipping well packed, its been a year and a half and is still going strong.

Have you left it powered on for a few hours and then restarted it to see if there's maybe moisture under the touch screen resistive film? This is my regular use procedure in many months that aren't the dead of winter. The heat of the backlight and electronics dries it out but it usually needs a reboot even once that happens. I don't usually need to calibrate after the reboot.

Yes, it's time consuming, electricity consuming, and added wear on the components, but it's free. Works on my M3m and V-Synth XT.
