USB types

Post by rderderian »

For the editor/computer connection to the Kronos, what USB types work? 1, 2, or 3?

Also, would a 15 foot length work fine or would it be too long?

Believe if you hook up your Kronos to a computer it will alert you as to what kind of a USB connection you have. I have seen this with devices I have connected to my PC via USB.

USB types are mostly backwards compatible, it shouldn't really matter what you use on the computer end of things.

A 15 foot cable length should be ok for type 2. USB 3 has a recommended maximum of 9 feet. But I have gone much longer lengths using an active repeater extension cable or a powered hub will also extend the length.
