I was able to make the volca sample play pitched notes coming from a midi keyboard. You will need a volca sample a Arduino uno and some electronics

Thanks, I didn't know that product existed, a little pricey but it seems more straight forward, although i learn a ton while making this thing. BTW I'm more inclined to blame Korg for this problem than arturia, but sure, either of them could easily remedy this.
