I heard the drumloop through my speakers.

I tried to record via send/return but whenever I play what I just recorded the effects are really soft and you can't really hear them. when I turn the volume up it starts peaking and I get lots of feedback again. Is this because I don't use a mixer or something?

Hey all thanks for the quick replies! :) I did have a look at send/return but thought it wasn't necessary (that's what the man in the shop told me) so I kept on trying to record in Ableton with no luck.. I then plugged my line-in of the computer into the KP3 output and used No.23 recorder to record ...

it looks like this:

ESI in > KP3 out
ESI out > KP3 in

the KP3 is in direct mode.

Would creating send/return tracks solve the whole feedback problem?
I haven't really looked into send/return because it looked really difficult to use in Ableton..
