The HD is big. I wouldn't worry about trying to optimize storage by selecting specific banks in the save dialog. (I agree, btw, that this could be improved - remember, my group worked primarily on the synthesizers and effects!) Note that, in general, there's no particular reason to store to the HD ...

You can download the latest manuals, in PDF format, from korguser.net. If you don't have them already, I'd strongly advise getting them! They have many improvements throughout, more than just documentation of the new features. - Dan Thanks Dan, got it. I work in a hectic and busy environment and ...

So far, I'm really enjoying the P8. I'll need to purchase the sound editing/librarian software - it's a must have with only 256 slots onboard for patches. The P8 appears to be the perfect companion to a digital setup - the sound is the thing, and it's quite beautiful. I also like the compactness and ...

Thanks guys, I've already programmed a couple of AL1 sounds and fashioned a cue around it. It's a great synth, but it took me awhile to get used to the interface, it's a bit dry looking, but it sure works. Lots of options, so I'm starting with one EXi per program. I formed a terrificly simple patch ...

Thanks Tag, My beloved supernova 2 is beginning to give up the ghost on me, after 8 years of hard use it sometimes won't turn on and often stops producing sounds entirely - a reboot three or four times is usually necessary. I love the SN2, even more so than the Access Virus TDM (my go to for non ...

Dave Smith Prophet 8
Hey guys, I just ordered the Dave Smith Prophet 8 all analogue synth. Dave's the guy who designed and built the famous Prophet 5 for Sequential Circuits in the 70's. Here's his site: http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/ I'm expecting it to be a nice complement to the Oasys , my Virus and Supernova ...

Re: Programming EXI's from scratch

Programming EXI's from scratch
Hi Guys, Well, once again I'm a bit stymied by my Oasys. While there are tons of great sounds included with the EXI's, I'd like to roll my own. Problem is, I can't find an initialized patch of the kind you get with almost any synth - I just need a basic synth waveform to start with. Help!!! I've ...

I've successfully installed the authorization codes for the plug ins. I have to say, I'm completely thrilled with the product - the Mod 7 is awesome for television/film guys, I'll be burning the midnight oil with these synths. I've not yet spent much time with the LAC, but it looks pretty neat, too ...

I've followed Dan's suggestion as Ian called today to say it was the preferred way to go. So far, so good. I've registered the new (latest) Oasys with its serial number and public ID. I then purchased the LAC and Mod plugins. I was sent authorization numbers for both. Tomorrow, I'll type them in the ...

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having difficulties. Does your new OASYS have a different serial number than the previous one? If so, please try my suggestion from above: log on to korguser.net, and simply add the new OASYS (including both the new serial number and the new Public ID) to your ...

If the issue is new purchases (instead of transferring existing purchases), you should be able to simply register the new OASYS Public ID on Korguser.net yourself, without need for assistance. - Dan Dan, Since ten days have now gone by and I still can't seem to give Korg $650 to purchase three plug ...
