Figured it out...
After PM'ing another forum user who offered to share their Logic environment for Kronos, I think I've figured out the one and only advantage (for me) to having the editor plug-in loaded in a song. If tracks 1-16 reference timbres that comprise a combi or sequence on the Kronos, then loading the ...

Editor v2 for Logic v9.1.8 AU plugin usage scenario
I've read all the threads complaining about the Editor and AU/VST plug-in and hoped that by posting yet another one, it will be easier to get a clear answer on the exact usage scenario. I'm running Kronos OS 2.0.2 and the latest Editor v2, which is installed and works great on my 27" 2011 iMac with ...

THANK YOU MARK!
Mark - I'm on my 3rd Kronos. My first one had the dreaded double hammer problem so bad it was unplayable, so Guitar Center paid to ship it back and sent me a replacement, which also had the problem, although not as bad. At that point, GC put me in contact with Korg, who directly sent me a new Kronos ...

How to import KLDC sounds into Kronos?
Can anyone recommend an easy way to export the sounds from the Korg Legacy Digital Collection so that I can basically recreate the progs/combis directly on the Kronos? Several of my band's older albums used sounds from the M1 and T1 (which I no longer own), and now that I have the KLDC, it would be ...

@vortexian... maybe you need a faster machine. My brand new quad core 3.1GHz CPU, 16 GB RAM, 1TB HD 27" iMac has no latency issues whatsoever. I just recorded a 2 minute legato piano piece using 000:KRONOS German Grand via MIDI/Audio simultaneously, creating one MIDI track and one Audio track in ...

Although I use Reaper and Pro-Tools, when this occurs to me it is that "monitoring" is switched off. Check that out in your system and I think your problem will be solved. Thanks, nitecrawler! Duh, I didn't even think about that. Simply starting Logic and selecting the Preferences / Audio ...

This is definitely a problem on the Mac and not the KRONOS. I also set my Roland V-Synth GT to output audio via USB and selected it as the audio input source in Mac preferences, and can see the input level bar move when I press keys, but there's no sound. So weird. Does anyone have any experience ...

do you use the Kronos for Audio Output? If yes, you have to go to Global Mode --> Audio --> and you have to check the both Audio-Inputs to USB. Otherwise I don't know, as I do not have OS. Thanks, but no, I'm not using the KRONOS for audio input. Setting the USB inputs doesn't make any difference ...

Audio out via USB not working as expected
My Kronos 88 is connected via USB to my iMac running OS X 10.7.3 after I installed the Korg USB driver v1.1.1 (r1). I have the System Preferences / Sound / Input set to KRONOS and the Output set to my Presonus FireStudio Project. MIDI notes are getting sent via the USB cable because I also have the ...

Done!
That was actually much easier than I thought. I should've fixed my Trinity 2 months ago when the battery first died. I simply went to RadioShack and bought a standard cr2032 holder, soldered 22 gauge red and black sold core wires to the leads, desoldered the original battery out and replaced it with ...

Instructions for soldering CR2032 battery holder in Korg
I just found this excellent post (with lots of photographs) for custom soldering a CR2032 battery holder into a Korg DW-8000, which is slightly different from the Trinity. However, this is a great reference for anyone brave enough to attempt to replace a soldered battery in Korg's old lineup, as I'm ...

Battery Soldering for Trinity?
Sequenzzer - did you by chance take any pictures of the battery replacement/soldering process? I also have a 61 key Trinity that threw the dreaded low battery warning back at Thanksgiving 2011, and I've been searching the forums ever since, to no avail. This is the first thread I've found that ...
