P.S. @SimoneS I think that your comparison of a modern synth with an open hardware OS platform is a really misleading misconception. A synth like the Kronos can't be an open platform, and will never be. Ask that in other manufacturers forums and people will laugh at you. Kronos oS code may be ...

Dan, I think you are sadly missing the point, what SaxiFraga is talking about is "Software Enhancements". The flip-screen and other hardware features are nothing to do with what he's referring to. Changes to Kronos or Kroms are nothing but software, which are "in theory" very possible. Therefore ...

Well,. If I remember correctly on the forum that Heider was on (not sure where it's gone now), Dan@Korg mentioned that no one would understand the Kronos in 6 months time when Heider was there to challenge it. However, the video above clearly shows that Heider did it (at least understood something ...

LOOOOOOOOOOOL :)

They needed a year to re-write a new OS, I assume they have access to the source code already?!... :)

From what you said Jim, I think he's doing pretty well (without source code given to him) if it's his part time hobby!

Hi Jim, I think reading the comments on YouTube. It sounds like he did alot in 6 months time to recode (re-compile) every single function to come up with the exact same system, The test was done on 2 or 3 functions only to show that he is now able to do more stuff later on, am I right? I wish him ...

I think the million dollar question is:

Did either method work yet? I.e. is the problem resolved now?

Cheers

In windows Vista and downwards, there is a limit of 10-MIDI drivers in general, it looks like this might be the case for Windows 7 too. Try this: 1 ) Windows -> Start -> Run -> RegEdit.exe 2 ) Navigate into Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32\ 3 ) Notice how ...

Can I make SW1/2 buttons change between custom user-scales or quarter-tone notes?

Thanks

Hi, I have a Kronos 88 key version, it's annoying sometimes that I can hear the keyboard squeeking when playing in low volume. Has anyone noticed the same problem on theirs? I went to a shop the other day, I think it might been better to go for a 61 key instead with an external 88 key midi ...

Hi,

I also find the Kronos menus quite difficult to keep up with, I think it's mainly to do with the overcrowded screens.

Is there any way to simpify the interface a little bit and make the keyboard (panel) more useful ?

Thanks
