The Kronos' MIDI Thru port supplies a buffered version of the MIDI data arriving at the Kronos' MIDI In port, allowing devices to be daisy chained together. None of the MIDI activity occurring inside the Kronos is routed to MIDI Thru. The circuitry is just not there to make this possible. . You ...

Re: Control iPad synths with second keybed connected via USB

Hi there, with my Kronos 88, I am using a midi keyboard connected via USB as a second keybed. I am also using an iPad running various synths (iWavestation, iM1, ...) which is also connected via USB (midi and audio). This setup works like a charm and is rock solid. There is one thing, I have not ...

Thanks for the reply. Yes. On the combi in question, I'm sending the progran change on MIDI channel 2. Selecting that combi does change the patch on the FA, but when I play the Kronos (doesn't seem to matter which midi channel I'm on inside the combi) it plays the sound on the FA. Basicslly stated ...

Re: Using Kronos to JUST change patches on external device

I can already use EX2 to change the patch on my other keyboard. Does anyone know how to ONLY send patch changes and not keyboard note on/off? Basically I have a combi with one of the channels set to EX2 which sends MSB, LSB, and program to my Roland FA. When I play the Kronos, the Roland sounds off ...

Have checked the cable? A faulty one might cause this.

If I understand this correctly, you don‘t need to bother with midi-thru. If both keyboards are hooked up to MS via USB, you can do all the routing in MS. Any combomation is possible.

I'm so happy with my Palmer PLI-02, which I use with both balanced inputs and outputs to keep away any unexpected evil-doers from the FOH. It has ground lift, too, and since I don't use it to balance my signal (since it is balanced anyway by the stereo cables that I use to connect the K to it ...

Talking about gain loss... It's normal when you use a DI, but I was looking for a good DI to go with my Kronos and I've bought a Palmer PAN 04 Stereo DI Box Passive, which has amazing reviews. However, it reduces the the gain in such a way that it can hardly be compensated by the FOH, even when I ...
