Instead of looking at market share, it might be more telling to note which platform has an embarrassment of riches, as far as music apps/instruments/DAWs. There is no comparison. Others have commented on the polyphony problem, synthtopia and elsewhere. Perhaps it depends on your style of playing, but on my mini retina, it bottoms out at about 38 voices*. That just won't fly on pedaled runs and such situations. They will have to address it. I've gone back to my CMP Grand in ...

WARNING: if you are a serious piano player lured by the admittedly nice-sounding Ivory expansion pack, the appalling Module polyphony and/or voice management makes it unusable on anything but the absolute latest iPad. Even then, not so great. It's a real shame.
