Thx guys, I did record something by hittin some magic combo that copies combi to sequencer, but that I think is more of a quick record thing and improvisation, than a planned methodology. I got the kronos as I haven't been able to gel with Daws in over 20 years,Yes they are great and generations ...

The KA Private collection (free for kronos 2) has some meaty organs.
as well as one of the pcg here in downloads section has some very decent ones.
Might as well check those.

android midi arranger (tablet/phone),
vArranger or One Man band , both work great on windows and support yamaha styles.

I also have Pa600 hooked up with kronos, there are things to like and things to not like with hardware.

Kronos / Workstation Recrording/Sequencing Workflow

Got Kronos2 few days back, I have a lot of experience on computers / Daws but null on workstations. I'd like to learn more of the workstation features and thought process behind it's sequencer, like basic workflow, on how would one approaches writing a song and it's different parts, the tools that ...

most likely your target bank types are different format than source banks.
a bank can either be hd-1 or exi and can only store respective format programs.

amit, That is a good idea, but would not be compatible with Combis and with MIDI. The reason we are "stuck" with the inflexible bank structure is because the program/bank system is defined by MIDI (and thus reflected in the Combi and the way the Combi references programs). However if "disk based ...

May, I propose a simple system, that extends upon existing feature set. Allow disk based Exi banks. (from a system folder or a bank folder on internal HDD), it should be very easy to do for exi's. You can currently preview any Exi directly from disk without loading it, ( I suppose the program gets ...

I also bought the Kronos few days back, still learning and already hit the program limit like you. (loading lots of sounds/soundfonts etc ). Am also looking for some good workflow. atm, I am thinking of keeping two temporary banks (user g is one , maybe will use user F or user DD/EE) (one exi and ...

Both are similar and yet different tools for different applications and usage demands. Many people compare kronos to a computer with DAW and a midi controller (which imo is not correct), a computer can sound better than anything, but rarely feel like an instrument. You can also have the computer ...

Yes, it's a bit of a learning curve. First i need to understand the overall architecture, programs, multi-samples and how they work or relate to each other and then the karma engine. I intend to use it along with my arranger keyboard, givng best of both worlds , but need to figure out midi routing ...
