Yes kinda,
but the main advantage here is, there is no sequencer involved.
and you can do all natively on the keyboard itself.

I don't think you can turn off a pad, but you can mute it (set it's expression to 0) and change it's program etc . MidiIn Page : Set receive channels for Each pad.
