I have an MC-303 ( don't laugh ) which has a pretty decent drum machine and sequencer, tb-3 and a volca keys, which I love to bits. What a nice rig you have there! I especially like the combination MC-303 vs. TB-3, classic meets modern so to speak! :) Volca Keys rounds up this setup nicely! I’d t ...

are there any samplers or drum machines which dont require you to load samples from an SD card. Sure, Volca Beats for example ;) and Volca Sample which you already have. Why cant you load them from say an external hard drive via usb the same way you can into software samplers . The reason is the ...

Just getting back into it have used cubase (6/10) reason (8/10) and had a recent go at presonus studio one (looks promising). Didnt like FL . Seems like you are searching for the ideal DAW. Did you try Ableton? If you want to combine external gear Ableton is great. Also check Bitwig Studio, this is ...

Re: Whats a decent rig setup for the Volcas
I have the keys the sampler and a kp3 You are already pretty well equipped. :D Q1. is it worth buying the beats or going for something like the sonic potion lxr which is 300usd, or second hand MTB Tanzbar or other ? A1: Beats is worth the cash IMO, but it depends if it fits to your personal style ...

oh it's a different workflow for sure, compared to some classic samplers like an ASR where you can live sample, re-sample and manipulate without missing a beat. you could easily have a very basic setup to sample and load from instruments or other devices via phone or tablet into the volca straight ...

The Volca Sample (not Volca Sampler) is marketed as a (quote):'Digital Sample Sequencer' - it was never meant to be a sampler - there are other solutions out there for sampling. Nobody here (except you) wrote 'Volca Sampler' but many people are mislead by the name and are expecting the white box to ...

For capturing sounds outside the studio I'd rather use a Zoom handy recorder. It gives me more control and (most probably) better quality as a mobile phone.TheGhostStation wrote:The iOS app for capturing sounds is awesome. It allows you to be more creative by using it in places outside the studio to sample sounds.

Re: Any way to live voice sample with a Volca series?
Can the white Volca sample audio signals directly? No sir, only indirect over a smartphone or tablet app. By the way, this is the reason I don't own a Volca Sample.Hollow Man wrote:I did a search and didn't come up with an answer, thanks

Windows issue is partially solved. Stand alone works fine, but VST-plugin still does not recognize Kross. Funny thing is when I launch the plugin also the stand alone editor gets screwed and does not find Kross anymore. After restart stand alone editor app finds and connects to Kross. I suppose the ...

Hi Michel, I'd like to give a try to PCG-Tools. Can it be run parallel to the Korg Kross Editor? Cheers, D Yes, because the Editor works with direct MIDI and PCG Tools uses PCG files; practically it's easier to do first changes with the editor and than with PCG Tools or vice versa. Thanks for your ...
