thanks for the reply. yea i just recreated a tutorial using that engine. and yes...i want to load samples into other engines. what i wanted was to be able to use the switches and knobs and faders like a jupiter 8 or similiar. would like a template with all such switches already mapped out on kronos ...

Was able to load all my jupiter 8, juno 106 , juno 60, obh, and moog sound programs after converting them to SF2 format. I noticed the engine that was used was the hd1. Anyway to choose different engines to match the samples being loaded? Btw the sounds came off my akai s5000, the sound quality is ...

Akai s5000 is not the same as s3000 and s1000. Kronos does not support s5000. Also kronos and other sample converters do not support kontakt 5 due to its auto copyright function when converting. I used extreme sample converter to convert from s5000 format to SF2 format, kronos read it flawlessly ...

Im having an extremely difficult time getting Kronos to recognize AKP format. It sees it but thinks its a sequence, then fails to load.
Gonna try to convert to nki to see if that does trick using Kontakt

So amazing to revisit a library i havent messed with since 2001. I am sooooo happy!

You can also import non copyrighted nki files as well. I just dumped my entire akai s5000 library to kronos....30 gigs

Im with aziz, no way i could live withouqt this piano, now all other pianos hurt my ears. I had the moss board installed in my classic, wasnt my cup of tea.

Looks like you were a lil too excited, you could use some combi splits

If you search youtube for sound making with kontakt, you will find a perfect video in detail. All the language is the same for kronos, evelopes, decay, attack etc...

I have calibrated screen, i guess its my fat fingers. I will look into a stylus, i like that idea anyways. Also my good buddie told me the velocity issue with akai is just that, akai controller doesnt have as many velocity layers as kronos, hence the brightness when playing on akai

Just bought a new kronos 2. My touch screen is not very responsive...anybody else have this problem? It takes like a sec to know its being touched
Also have it midied to an akai mpk61...and the velocities are super hot on the controller vs the kronos.....
Please advise...
