Also, if your at all like me who's starting off with a Workstation and doesn't know a whole lot in regards to sequencing, your gonna LOVE the OASYS for all that it does, Sequencer included. But if you feel that your gonna need more than what the OASYS Sequencer offers, you'd be WAY better off going ...

Sina, After your response I am 100% confused. WHY? Because I thought that K.O. can fulfill all my needs, as a workstation. Definitely, I will need to "Change tracks while the sequencer is playing, quantize, move notes around and transpose..." so I'll need a flexible working environment. Now I'm ...

Derm, I didn't owned any workstation up to this point. Now I am trying to understand if K.O. could work as a studio for me. I couldn't say that I would come from "software or another contemporary hardware sequencer". "...as a workstation it seriously falls down in the sequencer department." Could ...

I think your question is a loaded one. There are so many avenues to consider but the simple answer depends upon you. This thread has given you some great information. I do alot of work in my studio. I only own one keyboard (hardware) and that is the Oasys. I do have softsynths and an acoustic piano ...

@Zoltan: you can plug your microphones directly into the Oasys. If they need Phantom power the Oasys offers this as well (like Sharp mentioned above). If you wish to use any other hardware befor plugging into the Oasys you can do that too. You just have to have the proper cables and choose the ...

Great inputs - thank you, gentlemans! :) The SM58 is not something I would consider The SM58 is a reliable Mic that you can hop off a brick wall, and still expect it to work as good as the day you opened the box. But compared to proper Studio Mic's that require 48V (powered by the OASYS) it just ...

Ok - seriously: the quality of your digital audiorecording will depend on the quality of your original source, used microphones or other hardware in between the Oasys and the source. I'll need any preamp for voice recording or a good microphone [such as Shure SM58] would work plugged right into K.O ...

You're welcome! You have 4 inputs on the Oasys allowing for recording 4 external things at the same time - if you wish so. Quite often you will record one after the other. Audio-recording is easy on the Oasys. And it works very well together with its 16 Midi-tracks. If you have any more ...

Well - I would say it's sufficient for a Semi-Pro studio - but right now it's as close as you can get to a studio with just one Workstation. If you have any doubts listen to some Demo songs @ korg.com and/or get Adreas Gundlachs Demo CD which was produced solely with one Oasys. Have a ...
