Well, I would say yes. It really depends what sound you want though. Some things going for it this way: Many effects are tempo locked so effect is always on time, which means your groove doesn't get sloppy. When you release your finger from the pad the effect can disappear with a delay, or not, so ...

KP3 Midi through
Hey, does anyone know if there's a midi through function for KP3? Not sure I have that term correct mind you. I have my sequencer clock feeding my synth, and my synth is feeding my kp3. I want to use the kp3 to feed external drum machines, but when I hook the midi out to the drum machines there is ...

I've uploaded a diagram of how I think it should go. Without actually playing around with it, I don't know what might not work. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v493/zedius/diagramjpg.jpg Remember to set your kaoss pad to "send", you will probably need a stereo 1/4 inch plug to rca adapter of some ...

Did you have the aux send of your stereo aux return channel turned up? CAUTION: When using a stereo channel as an aux return, TURN THE AUX SEND CONTROL ALL THE WAY DOWN on that channel. If you have the Aux Send control turned up even a little, it can create a feedback loop. This would be very bad ...

Well, I'm going to buy a K61P to hook it with my KP-3 and i wonder what I'd be able to do with it? could I play it like a synth+using kaoss effects? Depends what you mean by "play it like a synth". I don't think you can play the kaoss pad's synth sounds with a keyboard, but I could be wrong. I'm ...

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you saying you want to align the start point of the loop with a specific spot on the gameboy? Have you updated the KP3 to OS 2.0? And have you set your loops to mode 3? When you first buy the kp3, it just plays the loops repeatedly. When you press one of ...

I believe you would do this with the Aux send. In the manual, page 10. Looks like you hook the aux send to the kp3, and then route the line out of the kp3 into one of your stereo inputs. I would route it into 9/10. That leaves 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 for your synthesizers, and your 1s and 2s are free for mics ...

as a practical measure i find having a black machine with black buttons quite stylish but very stupid in a performance situation. I would like it if ALL buttons were very dimly lit at all times so they can be seen - often I am really guessing where the mute and pad motion buttons are in the dark ...
