Bruce, I respectfully do not diminish your opinion with regards to your emphasis on the pianos and ep's as they regard to Kronos, but as you stated earlier on this thread you are new to Korg. Your assessment would need to be made on the basis that you've had the complete exposure to the OASYS ...

Yes exactly it's called the culture of instant gratification. When you buy this kind of instrument you have to wear 2 hats. One is the musicians hat and the second is the electrical engineer's hat. This instrument requires learning, that means picking up the manual which I am sure is as big as a ...

I tend to agree with that this is not a thread looking to bash Korg or the potential owners of any of the both platforms. As I said in my opening remarks it was my personal honest assessment and what kind of feeling I came out of the evaluation I made of Kronos. I am sure that the folks that are ...

I agree Martin that it's a little green jealousy as it looks to me.... I think there were several great ages in the synth timeline... Age of Moog - late 60"s to early 80's (Minimoog et al.) Age of Yamaha - late 80's early 90's (DX-7 and so on) Age of Roland - 90"s (D50) Age of VST's - late 90s and ...

Actually I as a Oasys owner applaud the arrival of the Kronos. My criticism is honest but I think perhaps with the great commonality such as the OS that both platforms share, we can actually augment the family that started with the foundation which the fine Oasys established. It might make Korg ...

An Oasys owner goes to the music store and tries Kronos.

So today I finally went to the nearby guitar Center store and behold the Kronos 61 was on display. I went in with an open mind to see what this machine was made of. I would say right off the bat that agreed that the Pianos are quite remarkable. Nice job Korg. I'd have to say that the parameters that ...

Jeff,

Just a side thought or rather question... you sold your Oasys? Man that is brave. They will have to bury me with mine.

Hmm castrated, well that doesn't add up because the one to actually lose any parts was the KRONOS.... -No on board CD/RW drive -No physical pads -No ADAT interface -No balance MIC inputs -No adjustable input screen -No "real man's" joystick... Kronos" looks like the DW8000 joystick. -No 8 individual ...

If you like the Kronos... the Oasys is a masterpiece as it was born of pure inspiration. Kronos is nice but the inspiration really is the outgrowth of the Oasys. All hail the Oasys!

I would highly recommend the British made Wharfedale Diamond Studio 8.2 ProActive. I use these on the Oasys and the sound is pure, uncolored, and powerful.

Kevin, I tried your suggestion and it seemed to improve the mix somewhat. Would you tell me which Boesendorf program number you used this on? I think you can say the mids went from sounding like "dwang" to "de-ang". I wish it would sound more like "dong" or more like the Oasys EX2 piano. What think ...

Kevin, Thanks for your recommendation I will report back as to how it works out for me. Staying on the theme of your email have you set of recommendations for eq's or effect enhancements (internal or external) for the other pianos in the Karo Grand piano collections as I own them all? Personally I ...

Hey Karo folks,

Big concern here , why are your current Oasys packages not available? I am an Oasys owner and was looking to purchase and download. Please post something here or on your website. It is not clear.

Very nice selections. Please chime in with what you've successfully loaded on the Oasys. One additional and separate question... I know and have used the Karo grand pianos libraries , but has anyone loaded any other grand piano libraries out there successfully? I guess I am also interested in any ...
