thanks guys for your input.So if i hook the midi out and in from the kontrol 49 to the MKXL,then connect the Kontrol 49 to the macbook via usb,then if i open garageband,i can record both keyboards?

So are you saying that i can link my Kontrol 49 with my MKXL by midi in/out put?

I am a noob and never knew what midi was to be honest.
