Re: Ableton Live 8 and Korg Kaoss Pad (KP3)

kaoss usb is only for midi and communication with kp3 editor.

there's no way to send audio to kaoss via usb - you have to use analog in/outs on pad.

zero is detected as three midi devices. 1st is just for communication with zero software, 2nd for green knobs, 3rd is bonus midi interface on back (dins). and yes, one firewire will handle all audio and those three midi devices. i wonder what your setup looks like, so you need additional midi ...

you can always put zero4 master out on kp3 and then get master from kp3.
regarding in and outs, computer can feed all of four channels so there are 4 stereo ins and 8 stereo outs in variuous presets (post, pre eq, a/b side of fader, sampler out, master etc.)

nope. with input set to firewire you can only do it with phono (riaa equalised) this is default zero4 mode. and with adapt you can switch it to cd the setting is not saved after power off.

it does more. with this tool you can get signal on "cd/line", process it (for example with ableton live effect) and bring back on the same channel through firewire. kind of digital f/x loop. great. no more wasting two channels for that functionality (which is painfull on zero4). the same goes for ...

"If you’ve selected “FireWire AUDIO” or “FireWire AUDIO + MIDI,” the output to the FireWire connector will be the pre-EQ signal of the source connected to the PHONO jacks." anyone tried that feature? i also wonder if i have to sacrifice two channels if i want to ...
