Just as info, the good old Korg Z1 does that too. And the Yamaha VL-70m and EX5 even better. ---> Yamaha EX5 P1-077 preset (MP3) 'Super natural' as R. call their ¤¤¤¤ does not measure up to physical modelling... The trumpet pitch bend is MUCH more realistic than the actual trumpet sound :) I mean if ...

...its going to be engulfed with a base of peed users many of whom I dare say will have more of an axe to grind than Oasys owners. In January 2009 I have posted this on the Oasys Wishlist of this forum: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=267364&highlight=#267364 I wrote: ---1 ...

Dany, ...I am sure we agree on the fact that OASYS is one of the best instruments ever built... I completely agree with you, of course! And I am happy to hear that you obviously don't repent keeping your OASYS. I already began to have a bad conscience towards you, because I finally didn't buy your ...

Kevin and Dany, you both have got 2 OASYSes. Have you bought the paid options (MOD-7 etc.) twice? Please answer. Dear Akos, here is at last my answer that you have requested: I have purchased my first Oasys in 2008 with all the expansions like LAC, MOD-7, Brass EXs and 2 GB RAM. My other second ...

Dany, Kronos is OASYS II. Both use an architecture designed to run several different applications also at the same time. Or how would you explain running 4 KARMA scenes within a Combination consisting of HD1 and eg AL-1, MOD-7 programs with effects controlled by the ribbon at the same time? It uses ...

...as the Oasys is a PC, although probably the most "sexy" looking, hiding the truth in such a perfet way, that I always had the feeling to play a "real instrument"... Dear Peter, I don't want to be picky, but the OASYS is not a well hidden PC. A PC is a Personal Computer, with an architecture ...

Since the Oasys is able to unload / load EXs libraries without rebooting since OS v.1.3., I guess that Kronos as its child is able to do this as well.

I've just found this:

The new and incredible OMNISPHERE 1.5. FREE Update (incl. iPad as controller), presented by Eric Persing himself at NAMM 2011:

1. Did I get this right with the Liontracks / openLab, it is possible to tweak/program the softsynths like they we´re running on a Pc not only play the preloaded patches? Yes, of course. - Nachtrag:Soundslate ist im Prinzip dasselbe Produkt wie ein MiKo/Neko, .d.h. Du hast den Vorteil der für das V ...

...So what do you think, get an old Oasys or wait for a Kronos? If you are a piano oriented player, I would prefer the Kronos without question. If your main purpose is sound design and exploring new synth sounds, than you may consider to look for a second-hand Oasys in good condition for a low ...

Beside a PC and Laptop Windows/DAW configuration I am also using an OpenLabs MiKo. With the MiKo everything becomes very, very easy and simple and it's just like "plug&play": Turn on the MiKo, install Omnsiphere and load it into your DAW and you can start immediately to play and mangle the ...

Re: OASYS-I, OASYS-II (Kronos) Updates? my final conclusion

To all frustrated Oasys owners like myself: You still have more available voices with the synth engines on the Oasys than on the Kronos (apart from the missing SSD Streaming for SGX-1 (Piano) and EP-1 (E-Piano) and 2 new Drumsets). My statement above was wrong, as I've just learned from Dan ...
