Re: Suggestions for OASYS Forum and OASYS Sound Developers
For Sound Developers: - As indicated on another post - concentrate on sound sets not already catered for especially: Choirs and Vocals Orchestral Percussion Ethnic and World instruments... Excellent suggestion. I would appreciate some more new drumkits for the Oasys as well. But "choirs and vocals ...

Hi Tiger . Anyway, I would like to repeat myself here: "I think everybody incl. Korg Inc. (Japan/USA) should rather take this whole discussion as a huge compliment and be very flattered, because if the rest of the Oasys had not been of such high quality as it is, the sequenser issue would have been ...

Even dinosaurs like the MPCs or the Yamaha QY700 still have a lot going even years after development which would work into a Korg type workstation and still knock spots off the Oasys sequencer. Speaking of dinosaurs, even my old Ensoniq VFX-SD (not in daily use) which I bought in 1989 (20 years ago ...

Even with the "super" Fantom seq I wouldn´t stop using my DAW. It´s a good step forward, but it still miles away from DAW´s sequencer IMO. I must admit that I am somewhat conservative when it comes to this. The reason that I prefer solutions like the Oasys, Fantom G, Roland VS-2480CD is that they al ...

you gotta love the SENSE OF HUMOR in the politicians in european countries VAT... yeah... great idea, huh? :D Yep, tell me about it. I am going to order a 1GB RAM for my Fantom G to get max. sampling time and long story short, normally you could just buy one who meets the correct/precise spes. and ...

There is no contradiction between being creative/effective on one side, and pointing out obvious lacks that should be addressed in a otherwise fantastic, superior instrument while there is still time and a chance for that to happen. Even J.S. Bach who was extremly productive in his lifetime pointed ...

to use also an allegory – a chain always break at it’s weakest link. It doesn’t help to put additional strong links into the chain, it still breaks at it’s weakest link. You have to do something about the weak link. Very well said, and exactly my point. I think everybody incl. Korg Inc. (Japan/USA) ...

As a classical pianist myself I would suggest that you consider a Clavinova. I am using their top model and it has a 16-track sequenser and a built in notation function. You can also hook it up to a large widescreen if you rather prefer that. You can go online to Yamaha's website directly from the ...

It feels ironic that when the DX7 came out in the summer of 1983 in Norway, one could still buy a brand new one i 1987. The OASYS was introduced in January 2005, more than four years ago. Best regards, Dan I know :D I was just being ironic. What I ment was that if these 2 old "antiquated" keyboards ...

Me too, but how is the appropriate way to launch this? Can we channel a thing like this via this forum and how can we reach other Oasyans who are not forum members? Maybe this could also be an argument for those parts of Korg who voted against stopping the Oasys project and gives them new arguments ...

I honestly think the "Roland Fantom-G" played a part at this time in korgs thinking, in that the M3 was good" but """"""" look what Roland have releaased - Mouse, huge screen, Sequencer to Die-for, We need to respond to that"""" - and respond they did. Yep, agree. And especially after the release ...
