Sadly, I don't have a backup. I was hoping there was an automatic one somewhere or something.

Loaded a PCG file that overwrote EVERYTHING - can I undo?

I downloaded some sounds I wanted to try out. I haven't used the disk mode all that much and I'm not super comfortable with it and have had trouble remembering what all the file types are and such. Anyway, I think this package was bundled wrong because when I loaded the PCG it put ALL of the author ...

Did you try changing the mapping of the tempo knob's control change from within the Kaoss Pad in the manner I described above?

I'm not familiar with the KP2, but I have done it in the KP3.

It doesn't matter if the tempo knob sends as pitch bend, you should still be able to map it to anything you want in ableton.

Not sure again how it applies on the KP2, but either via the editor software or through the "Messages" menu, you can adjust each of the control change associations for each button on the machine. Pitch bend is normally with a certain CC number, and apparently thats what the tempo knob sends by ...

Follow up

In case anyone was interested to know or has the same issue, replacing the unit did indeed fix this issue.

Looks like I just got a defective box.

i think it may be possible to trim a file somehow if that's what yr looking to do, but i can't remember. Nope, I just want to be able to play along on the keyboard after making tempo adjustments, but this isn't possible when the pitch changes. Maybe if I transposed my keyboard with fine tune..haha

Ok, thanks for your response. Back to the store it goes. Hopefully an exchange will solve it.

Re: KP3 Digital distortion glitch / bug

Do I have a defective unit? Is this a known issue? Should I switch the OS to 1.03? Any help is much appreciated. How about this, is there anyone that's NOT having this issue? I'm pretty sure I'm going to exchange the unit, but I'd like to know if my symptom is a common problem or not before I go ...

KP3 - Looper Type - Type1? Type2?

In the global settings of the KP3 editor there is a parameter under Global called "Looper Type". I can't find documentation for this parameter anywhere and I can't figure out what it does.

The options are Type 1 and Type 2.

Anyone?

KP3 Digital distortion glitch / bug [SOLVED]

I just bought the KP3. It seems prone to randomly introducing a harsh, digital kind of distortion to the input signal that sounds like the bit depth has been reduced. Similar to a bit crusher effect, but this is clearly not an intentional effect. It seems more like there is something wrong with the ...

KP3 Pitch changes on tempo change

I'm using the KP3 and looping/playing along with my keyboard, however when I change the tempo of the loops, the pitch changes along with it - obviously making it impossible to play. I've looked around in the manual and forum and can't find an answer. Is it possible to have the pitch remain fixed ...
