Other than what you said about the architecture being slightly different, I can only say that maybe Korg thought they needed to make the velocities more sensitive with a greater response range between the models. I'm guessing as the TEX was an earlier version, the TR is showing the newer Korg vision ...

I have a similar set up to you, Stephen but I hate it. We have a TS88 and a TEX 61. It's not about the bling value here, it's all about the mobility on stage. Granted, I cant see moving it around and just moving boards up and down isn't much but it's something. The thing that worries me is - how to ...

The subject of writers block and how to write new songs has been covered sooooooooooooooooooooooo much. I couldn't even begin to relate all the ideas and practices. Try doing an advanced search and see what we have covered in the past. I'm sure you will find a mega ton worth. However, just a short ...

That would be my first thought - the local control. However, when I tried this, I didn't get any pops or static (this could be the amp more than the board). Daz is right on about the MIDI settings. Go to Global mode then press the menu button then choose P1: MIDI. There will be a check box for local ...

Check out Tarekith new post :) After countless hours of ruining my mixes I have learned a few things. First and foremost - there isn't a cooky cutter method to mixing. Each and every sound and song has a different approach. Here's a few that might help. My usual approach on any song is to start with ...

Not sure what you mean by one click sound switches. Are you referring to effects? Or are you referring to program sounds?? When my wife and I play live we use our sequencer and have 16 sounds on any song ready to go. Then it's just a matter of typing in 1,2, 3 (on to 16) enter and we are on one of ...

In what kind of a situation are you looking at? You can just sample anything you write into a .wav file and transfer with a usb cable. You can either sample the entire mix (both mono or stereo) or one track at a time. Then you just go to your Media>Utility menu and select USB Storage Mode and move ...
