I vote "touch averaging". It certainly sounds like a mean technique. :P

Or should that be median technique... :P

It does stop the audio, yes. But erasing any other way will not give you your oh-so-sought-after orange light. :P

cardboardcorn... I think you're talking about a KP3 when the OP is talking about a KPro. Although I may be wrong. As for the colour problem... It's not a problem. You're erasing by just rubbing out what is recorded on the bank but still allowing it to be a looped phrase in playback mode, but just ...

Is this the case all over the touchpad? Some effects do cut the input at certain points of the pad, I believe. And if the FX depth is all the way down, the effects won't work either.

"Multitouch" only has that specific meaning in the context you're perceiving it. :P

Bowmoney could just have meant it in the sense of touching the pad mutliple times.

It is not the loop that is delayed but the initiation of the recording. If the drum hit was subject to the delay, the loop would contain the full attack (or, at least, more of it) and would sound right, just out of time.

The KPro doesn't allow "one shot" samples... If you recorded in a drum sample, irrespective of when you stop recording, it would just repeat depending on the tempo and the measure length of the bank (until you stop the playback). The KPro deals with loops and the KP3 deals with loops and one shots.

Yeah, mine doesn't buzz through the speakers, that does sound like a ground loop to me too. Mine just buzzes. Ever so slightly.

Well, I didn't think it was right. Just thought I'd enquire before I took action. I only picked it up the other day, second hand. Even with a slightly dodgy adaptor, it was a bargain though.

KP3 Owners...

Does your power supply adaptor mains plug thing make a buzzing sound?

When you plug it in, of course.

First thing you should do is to connect something (an Electribe, for example), to the KP3. Without giving it any audio (be it a sound source to its inputs or samples loaded in its banks), it's pretty pointless to even own one in my opinion.

Unless you just like the lights. They are priddy though...

It's not really changing the tempo though. When the tempo you enter is a multiple of the original tempo, it will sound the same, as all the editor is doing then is altering the tempo that is attached to that sample. However, if you change the tempo to be something not divisible into/of the original ...

It might not be the problem... If the first beat that doesn't sound right doesn't sound phased, it's not the problem. What seems more likely to me is that the recording is being started ever-so-slightly after the first beat, hence the dull/empty sounding first beat and, like the OP said, lack of ...
