Using Wavesequencing you can get 64 levels of dynamics for each key in a tone layer. There are 2 tone layers in an HD1 program. Actually you could have 64 levels for each of the 2 tones and have a different sample play back for all 128 levels of velocity. The way this works is that you can modulate ...

Thanx for that mate. To tell the truth I got the D3200 just so I cold remove the PC from the setup altogether. So no, the PC is not connected in any way. However my Yamaha ES7 does not do this at all nor the Kurzweil. In fact none of the large selection of analouge synths I have here do this either ...

The infamous ground loop noise (digital screeching). This is a typical problem with connecting workstation keyboards to a PC. I've seen it with a Fantom X and Motif ES that I used to own when I connected them to the computer via USB. I am also currently struggling with this when connecting the Oasys ...

I've noticed that acoustic drum kit samples in workstations tend to have noise in them that tales off at the end of the sample. This exists in Tritons, Fantoms, Motif's, etc. What you notice varies greatly due to reverb and other effects that can mask it. Acoustic drum kits are processed with ...

Don't forget that the help button brings up useful instructions for just about any screen you may be in.

How many workstations can do this?

For reference this was posted into the thread which is now locked. I was also in the process of writing the Audio Event edit request more clearly when the thread got locked. See below: My list of suggested improvement from my 18 months using the Oasys: I also gave in and bought an MV-8800 a few ...

My list of suggested improvement from my 18 months using the Oasys: I also gave in and bought an MV-8800 a few months ago. It's a nice pair of instruments that complement each other well. With 1.3 we have such a killer bucket of sounds, but are missing the compositional environment to go with them ...

The new update looks great!

I didn't see it anywhere, but can you run wavesequences inside of the MOD-7 PCM oscillator?

Also, is there a way to copy the oscillator settings from an HD-1 patch into the MOD-7 PCM oscillator?

I am also looking for a good used D32XD or a pair of D16XDs. I believe that these two models were too expensive for the market, and Korg sold very few before they were heavily discounted at the end of their short run. It's so sad that people believe a PC DAW can come anywhere close to the ...

I'm hoping that I can add the ability to turn a piece of a sequencer track into a GE, directly within the OASYS. That would go along way to solving some of the issues you mention. You could program up a simple drum groove, zap it into a drum GE, and then have the ability to vary it as per usual ...

SECONDARY GENERAL REQUESTS WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE HARD TO IMPLEMENT 15) Simple arpeggiator for tracks without Karma. KARMA will do, and can do, any kind of "simple arpeggiation task" you can image. I can only suspect that some people who say this don't understand how to use it to do so. But it's ...

Please put the Triton Arpeggiator into the Oasys. This would make up for the lack of a piano roll editor and also allow user created arp patterns. Allow the patterns to be any time signature and to have a length of up to 16 bars. Allow the scene buttons or drum pads to switch arp patterns on the fly ...

Feature Request After 1.21

After owning the O for 9 months and checking out the fab new LAC-1 I have some new ideas for features: 1. I can predict that we will run out of program slots if any additional EXI's are introduced. I think we will need double the number of banks in the long run. Is this possible? Also, I strongly ...

I couldn't help but notice that the velocity response curve in the general system settings defaulted to curve number 4 after upgrading. That curve requires a much harder strike (than curve 6 or 7 that I prefer) to get higher velocities. Generally patches are programmed with the filters opening up at ...
