It's not really a sampler, but the machine I plan to buy is a Spectralis 2 - since I don't want either to stay all day long in front of a computer to play music (I'm a developer, so making to much music with computers would be like staying at work  ) By now, I completed my KP3 with a ...

*edit*
Thanks Kaossilation for posting this thread,

Currently checking out Yellow Sunrise, very impressive considering you are doing this live!

Sounds very Chemical Bro's which is no bad thing :)

---

Chill with Debussy is very well done, even the piano section sounded quite realistic!

Get a Boss Micro BR and you will have an incredibly powerful multitrack recording solution for a small price. It's compact and absolutely amazing (sorry Korg). Couple this with a KPro and it will be a fabulous set up for the hobbyist home recorder. It has great guitar effects on board as well ...

I especially like the lead part where none of the banks have been looped! A little false me thinks. That's the power of multitracking! :D And that's where you need to spend another small fortune, Korg are basically saying you can do this with the one unit. Oh and I'm not bitter, I love the KPro, I ...

It's a good video, but I would rather see this track performed live over the Kaoss Pro, and not sequenced with a few shots showing the product played in part.

I especially like the lead part where none of the banks have been looped! A little false me thinks.

Sorry to report that I get the clicks also, I've noticed them a fair amount just from a more traditional way of playing the instrument.

Some sounds are worse than others tho', the softer sounds tend to fare better, not perfect but better.

Yes it is very hard to play the same note again with instruments such as piano/jazz guitar/etc...

I've found that it can be inconsistent too from time to time. I think you'll learn to avoid doing those in realtime and maybe pre-record them.

Does anyone know what looping capabilities the SP-404sx has? I think you can make loops with it, using internal or external audio, but then you must assign them to one of the pads. However, I don't know if playback has to stop to do that and I don't know if you can overdub when making the loops ...

[cliche] It depends what you want to do and how you want to use it. [/cliche] Lots of people swear by Ableton Live, but I spend too much time on the computer anyway so avoid using it for music, which I do just for fun. That means you should take my opinion with a pinch of salt, others on this forum ...

I think there's a bug! If you are holding a note, then go into levels, the held note stops, go back to XY control and it remembers where it left off!

Nasty!

It does mention that it comes with :- Ableton Live Akai Professional APC Edition I assume this is a very basic edition, but would provide a good balance between the K-Pro and the Akai? Sorry for my cluelessness, it is something that I may want to buy in a few months, but I thought I'd throw the ...

Re: What sampler would you invest in?

Hi all, I'm just thinking down the line, but with the shortcomings of the K-Pro, such as can't go below 108.5bpm unless you stick with 2 measures, which piece of equipment would you buy? Saw in another thread someone using a SP-404sx to complement the K-Pro, or they will soon. Having looked at the ...
