monophonic unless you set multiple synth parts to the same MIDI channel but programming polyphonic synth across multiple parts would be a chore.

Can't you also send the metronome out 3/4? If you don't want to use up drum parts, but the metronome is lame if I remember right.

Looks like your ugly solution is really the only one where the ESX does all the program changes on the MoPho... creating multiple copies of one patch to correspond with the patterns on the ESX.
