I'm not really familiar with the rest of the MC range. Tinkered with a 808 and 909 before tho (just played some patterns amd sounds and skimmed over the manuals) the 303 is just a rompler and has some decent sounds but it is limited. The programming isn't nearly as easy as the electribes.. But then ...

Then you can probably look forward to awesome menu editting ala-microkorg... That'd be awesome for live use wouldn't it? [Sarcasm]

I agree wholeheartedly.. f*ck the analogue.. Electribe with optional sampling on the drum parts or using your own single cycle waveforms for synth (create your own PCM sounds!), polyphonic synth, 48 ppqn resolution (I hate being stuck on the grid). Get rid of the valves they just produce heat and ...

I have a sneaking suspicion that Korg are going to drop a bomb on us next year (or perhaps a dud) Based on the lower costing items in their product range they have a huge scope for what they could put together with parts from each. lets just pray they don't go screw the pooch and release a hard/soft ...

Balanced cables won't make a difference cos the electribe doesn't have balanced outputs. But definitely use shielded cables

the electribes are known to be a bit noisy.. you wont be able to eliminate it entirely but you can take steps to make sure its at a minimum. -dont run audio cables parallel to power cables, cross at 90degrees if necessary -keep power supplies as far away from gear/cables as possible -see if moving ...

If you're looking for a portable hardware recorder then have a look at what Zoom has to offer... but make sure it has a line-in. another option which will offer huge possibilities for expansion is a multi-track recorder like the Zoom R16 or R24. I have the Zoom R16 and it is a fantastic piece of kit ...

I just double checked cos its been a while since I've used the load sample.. It doesn't kill the dry audio while loading but kills samples and fx. Sorry about that. Sample load is like 10 seconds.. Not sure how long the old samples on it are tho... Better than I remember. An idea for connecting mono ...

The SP series aren't much use as live loopers. The KP3 and Kpro are a better option for guitarists.. And the kpro is the better option unless you have a midi controller footpedal (like the behringer fcb1010) to intiate samplong on the kp3. The reason the kpro is better for guitarists is infinite ...

any specific reason to have the ESX as master for that?
