Thanks Mike, really liked the DVD a lot!

Did you use the O's gate/reverb/eq/compressor/limiter at all during recording? How would you rate the converters?

2buss recording?

Hi all, I have plans for recording my first EP, via an xtramix mixer and an api 5500 eq that will be arriving soon. I still might pull the trigger on a api 2500 compressor, not sure yet. I already have an overstayer compressor. I will primarily only use outboard effects, 4 moogerfoogers. I also have ...

I use one of these http://www.midisolutions.com/prodevp.htm it works well and is fully programable. LOL, I have the midi solutions quadra thru and merger, but not the events processor. Looking at the docs, I'm not sure how I'd use it to turn off the global midi channel or limit its keyzone, any ...

limit keyzone on global midi channel, or turn it off?

Hi all, In combi mode and using ext/ext2, I often send midi out to external synths. For karma generated patterns, that works fine. The problem I'm having is when using the keyboard to play external gear in Combi mode. I only want to play from C-5 to G-9, but C-1 to G-9 is sent on the global midi ...

Thinking about getting some rhodes sounds, anyone tried the KARO KEP1? Looks like I can get a Nord electro rack used for about $800, anything else on it worthwhile if you got an O?

I voted "Korg owe us nothing and so we shouldn’t get upgrade" . We actually got a lot more upgrades after cancellation than anything I can think of besides the Access TI. I continue to vote with my wallet though - my last five or so purchases were analogue, as well will probably be my next five. I u ...

think kronos as a Oasys for the mass I agree, and think its a smart move by Korg. Doesn't mean much to us lowly Oasys users though, unless you think 2 new engines, DAW integration, the M3 sequencer and 12GB of SSD are are worth around $4K to you. For that type of money I'd be well on my way to a ...

Im FULLY Dissapointed, nothing new here. I don't want to debate just ask: guys, can you name a certain popular music genre where the best instruments from Korg couldn't be used perfectly? I find these keyboards are very good for rock, pop, country, dance, electro, techno, etc. Just about all of the ...

I voted its a new type of VA ala Radias, but I don't think it'll have a "analogue monotron filter" . I still think it'll be cheapish (under $1000) prosumer gear the market is saturated with already. Another VA? What on earth for, isn't there like 20 of those already? My last 5 purchases have been ...

Whatever it is I'm thinking it'll be less than $1000 - I see korg getting out of the expensive stuff for now.

First of all, I voted yes but it'd probably be on the used market. Since I got the O, I started playing a lot more than I did with the triton series, and in general its been very inspirational. I do think though that the "workstation" concept was distracting from what the O is best at and I don't ...

The new jomox M.Brane11 is the only thing I've seen so far that I find interesting. See the samples at the bottom:

Problem solved! I use Linux exclusively, so I posted this transpose problem to the linux-audio-user mailing list. A kind fellow wrote about 100 lines of C++, which with some simple editing and a compile, allows me to transpose any note number from the O into the right note number to the jomox. It ...
