Vocals has always been an exciting challenge to me. It is like another instrument in a song, but one that has lots more feeling than any of the others. That is where it becomes a little scary. The best part about this song to me IS the vocals...not so much in my performance, but more in that I was ...

There have been some good comments thus far on this song, because it really is a great idea! There is so much here to comment on. The highlights are what some have mentioned: where the instrumentation comes in, the clean ending. I like to hear you stretching yourself thin...something I am trying to ...

Yes...very VERY nice chord progression! Bass notes can completely change the face of a standard chord. The chord would be a Am6 technically with a C bass. Most people would play a D bass and it would just be a D+9 chord. Ellll might have a little more insight into that though. The guitar sound is ...

Any DAW program should be able to import them, where you can change the key and then export them. No need to change the drum track, eh?

There are very few voices heard, live or recorded, that do not include effects. Even the rare few that do not need it usually have some processing, compression, EQ, reverb, on top of them which enhance the overall. Additionally, every microphone shapes your voice in some way or another. That is ...

As a fan of all the above mentioned, this fit right in. Very Roxy sounding....from the Brian Eno days. But this has the modern twist of clean electronica and great percussive effects attached to it. The sound effects are perfect. So good in fact, had they been more ambient and your voice been higher ...

What George said, and... Sing. A lot. Everywhere. To everything. Sing. And do not let anyone tell you that you cannot sing. If they do, and you listen, then you never will. My first and last official vocal CD was in 1998. After that I walked away from vocals for awhile and only helped others create ...

If I were starting from scratch, basically where you are... I would create a stereo track. Since you have the playback through the Triton, make sure it is hooked up to record to audio. Get the best patch for your sound and let it roll. Then continue what you did and the above step, till you have a ...

I wish I were 9000 miles closer to you. Then we would hop on the ball and have you rolling out some tracks! Seriously, if there is anything you need, I will help where I can. I think that recording on a machine like the Triton and recording in a DAW are not too different once you determine ...

Thanks for your comments. I have just uploaded a brand new version of the song at Soundclick. It has a remix of the instruments and new vocals as well. It will be in "tweak" mode for some time, but for now it is a completed song. I do expect to be adding some items to it...but no time as of the ...

Working on losing the sampled guitars...they are blended with a synth sound which makes it even cheesier. Anyway, there is a new edit above!!!

Here is the link in case you missed it.

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys, I have a whole lot left with this one. Though I have been singing regularly for the last decade, I occasionally rely on Antares Autotune to repair a note or two on a well sung line that had a slight flub (it is always better to redrop a vocal line and add/take away ...

Yea, don't shortchange us bro! Sewa you keep delivering. Every song you have given us this year has been fantastic. I love the lead sounds (the sync sound is one of my favs) and the atmospheric stuff in the middle was so smooth. And I know you are proud of the arpeggio...it is all over the place ...

This a cool song...WHERE ARE THE VOCS? Do it man! This is such a great backdrop, and I can only imagine what it might do vocally... Once you get a mix with vocals it might be a good idea to visit where the cymbals are on the drum kit. I could here them coming forward a bit, but without vocals that ...
