The Korg U.S site doesn't show the new PA2X. It be nice to have that cool guitar screen and the motorized display on the Oasys.

Thank you Peter. Any prize? Just kidding. I figured all that electronic components (such as high end crystal clock, DA converter, proprietary chips and such which Yamaha is known for) had to contribute some to the higher quality sounds (at least to my ears).

Mine went smooth as well. Anyone having problem updating should replace their CD burner. I created my CD at 54X speed.

To me the audiofile A sounds more dynamic than the rest. Last two sound similar. The first one has that dynamic crystal punch to it. But the last two have mellow top ends. I'd say the first one is the original Yamaha TX-816.

This self flattering class president thinks that he is still running a junior high cafeteria politic here telling everyone to simply shut up. Why not award and price your best music that ever came out of a single keyboard workstation so that people simply stop bitching about you and your music ...

I always wondered why an obsolete ADAT out option was in. Any recommendation on the best midi interface out there in the market now? I've been holding on buying a new midi interface and a seq software hoping to invest the money into the sequencer upgrade. I have a ten year old Power Computing Power ...

I'm worried. The Oasys doesn't have the options for the MLan like the M3 or the Motif XS do. So we need to rely on good ol' midi connections for the external seq. Korg's been silent about the seq improvement. I'll be pretty mad if Korg decided to introduce the next generation Oasys hardware in few ...

If I understand you right, you are feeling like the addition of the resonance layer when the pedal is depressed is too different compared to non-pedal passages. Jerry Yes, that's exactly the feeling I get. It only happens when you are playing soft classical tunes. Thanks I'll try your tips. Maybe ...

On some transitions I found that it takes a precise and quick off/on touch of the pedal and cannot "cheat" or be lazy with my foot as I sometimes do with my acoustic. sk That's one of the inconvenience I'm experiencing with. I hope I'm not the only one who is too picky on this matter. I think the ...

Good selections of acoustic instument samples are welcome news. No news on the elec. piano samples? But I guess I need to look for a dedicated PC for a sequencer.

i will never buy logic again after they bent me over about 4 years ago. I was one of those who have been using logic since atari days and brought all the upgrades and brought all the software synths and extra plug-ins. Still leaves me a bad taste in my mouth when i think of the money that cost me ...

Why aren't the EX2's loaded from the factory?

If you haven't done it yet, you will need to upgrade your 1GB RAM to 2GB in order for the Oasys to load up the EX2 as soon as it powers up (as if it's loading from the factory).
