Maybe the fact that the fan noise dropped after the boot up is the root cause of the issues on the motherboard?

The piano sound is like ice cream. Everybody has their own favorite flavor. Agreed. And I also add that it depends on the sound you are used to. If you have used a kronos for a while you get used to that sound and the others, at least at the beginning, will sound "worse" but they are just different.

you could also assign the sample to a specific key, let's say the bottom or top key, and be clear to the signer to press that key (maybe putting a label on the key)...he doesn't need to know how to play, just press the key with the label....and you save a lot of time in preparing it

I actually opened another thread asking for compatibility with a sandisk SSD 480GB.) I don't find an actual reason for not to be compatible , Kronos Asus media center mobo supports it , though I've tried up to 256 Gbs ! My only concern would be the size, will the kronos able to read the whole 480GB ...

I really do not understand what's the meaning of reading samples from such a slow speed media as USB stick when you have plenty of space in your SSD ! Even the smallest industrial SSD of 32 Gb of first Kronos can push your 3 Gb Ram to it's limits ! Kronos SSD should not be used as a storage place ...

Would a SanDisk Extreme PRO® SSD 480GB be compatible with the kronos or I run the risk to mount it and it won't work or the kronos can just read partial storage?

You can preload any saved Bank.KSC from a USB stick but only under Ram mode.
