Thanks Dennis. Much easier (and better) than I thought. :D I just couldn't find this in manual but with your help I've got it now. Much appreciated. And you've also answered another question I had about velocity control. I thought I'd have to edit a sound to make these things possible. This adds ...

Two sounds in one patch - like a split upper keyboard

Is it possible to have 2 sounds split on the upper keyboard tracks? So for example... I'm playing a piece of music with a banjo melody. It requires a reply on a trombone. So bars 1 - 3 are banjo, then bar 4 trombone, then 5 - 7 banjo then bar 8 trombone and so on. At the moment I'm having to switch ...

That sounds brilliant Rob. Especially as you can rename them to anything you like. I'm sure this makes building style sets far more intuitive.

Thanks for the reply Rob. I'm already using the DirectHD banks but there's so many unused slots in the factory banks it seems to make sense to use them. This allows me to keep custom styles of a similar genre in the same locations. I don't think it's a memory allocation problem as I can get the ...

Loading factory styles from Set's

Over the past week I've added some new styles to the factory banks and saved them to my default set. However I noticed that when loading the set it doesn't load the factory banks by default. I have to select each individual bank from the style folder in the set. The problem can be replicated by ...

You didn't steal my thunder Rob. :) I can't even recall if I did post the original thread. I do recall asking Paolo for a chart though and was pleased when it was included in the manual.

These are probably the most used info for me from the whole book 8)

Indeed Daz and Sharp. Having previously run websites I know how hard it can be. You guys put in a lot of effort to keep this community going for us.

And not forgetting all the other things that you do besides the site like the sounds, downloads, etc etc.

Great work guys

Hello David and welcome to the forums. What you're doing sounds extremely interesting. I've never got into any full classical orchestrations but it would be great to hear what you're doing. Do you have any recordings? I'm not sure why you would worry that we would think you're a geek. Music is an ...

Hello John,

Was the screen working before you took the keyboard apart?

This might be a shot in the dark but the PA1X casing is metal and without the rubber grommets the circuit board might be shorting somewhere.

I've just been over and checked this out. The arrangement is great. You would think that this is a recording of a band. Sal has done some great things with the PA1X in this arrangement. It mentions in the footnote on the site where the song is posted that Sal posted a video of the style making ...

Another vote for Sennheiser. I use some old HD 480 classics. They sound great.

The only thing I would say, they are a little quiet when using them without an amp straight from the headphone jack on the PA1X but when connected to a preamp they're brilliant.

You sure can. I use mine with Logic Express and a MacBook Pro. I've also used it with a PowerMac G4, a PowerBook and an iMac. I use an Alesis IO2 midi/audio interface and this works well. The sound mapping can be a bit tedious as it's not as intuitive as it could be but Paolo T posted a thread some ...

Hello,

Can you be a little more specific? What are you trying to do with it?

Save data? Load data? Update OS??

In short you select the FD from the drop down in the load / save section of the Disk menu. If you're a little more descriptive we can try to be more helpful.

Cool!

I'd like to get a look at the PA2X. At the moment I'm very happy with the PA1X but I'd like to get a listen to the PA2X to see how it stacks up.

Where did you get to listen to it? Did you get a chance to play it?
