Hello Mads, I use both Technics and Yamaha pedals on my PA1X. I have to reverse them in the Global Controllers menu to make them work the right way round. It sounds as if yours are not correct as the notes will sustain completely when your foot is off the pedal and might stop the sustain if you ...

Hello Sean,

I replied to your other post about the CD drive also but to repeat here for clarity, have you tried reinstalling the OS and reloading the musical resources?

It sounds like there's something not quite right about the OS installation.

Hello Sean,

The USB port does not work to power an external CD drive.

However I read your other posts about the hanging OS problem also. Have you tried reinstalling the OS and reloading the resources?

It sounds to me like your problems are more likely software related rather than hardware failures.

I agree that there are some great voices on the Yamaha. However I'm sure that if we owned Yamaha's there would be things that are not perfect there either. Most of the things I've seen so far are software related - and there are some good things listed. New styles are something that could be ...

I just tried again following Simon's post that he's read the manual and it seems to be working OK now.

Excellent.

Simon - you beat me to it. I was going to post the same question. The way I see it Korg have addressed many of the things that we've been asking for: - More Polyphony (120) - More RAM (256MB) - Tiltable display - Ability to record directly to HD - EQ on overall sound - USB 2 - USB host device for ...

PA2X Manual on the KorgPA site corrupted

I tried to download the manual on the korgpa website for the PA2X however it seems that only 12MB is downloaded and then when trying to open it it's saying it's corrupted. I've tried from a completely different machine, location etc but still getting the same problem. Has anyone had any success with ...

I don't want to start a flame war, but if the other manufacturers are light years ahead and Korg isn't good why do we all own them. There must be something good ( or better ) that made us make the choice in the first place. We're free to make our own choices and there's plenty of kit to choose from ...

Just in case anybody is interested in a text editor that works with a Mac you might want to try Smultron. http://smultron.sourceforge.net/ You need to make a couple of changes in line with Paolo's reply earlier so here's how: In the preferences change the following: In the Open & Save screen change ...

This is great information. Makes much more sense now.

We were testing with txt files but couldn't work out the character set or the line breaks.

As a suggestion would it be worth including some of these details in the manual?

Thanks Paolo.

Dave.

Hi Detlef, I did try as this was something that I wanted to do too. However I didn't have much success so I used a placement character (a full stop) like this... Ain't no sunshine when she's gone . It's not warm when she's away . Ain't no sunshine when she's gone And she always gone too long anytime ...

OK - I did little more investigation tonight. If you don't want to read all of the details then skip straight to the last line of the post... First I checked the files in TextEdit (a sort of notepad for Mac), Smultron (a more advanced file editor) and Microsoft Word. The text files looked fine in ...

Hi Guys, Thanks for the replies so far. I think there's a little confusion here. Dennis and I are talking about the display of text files which are linked to Songbook entries. These are just standard *.txt files stored on the disk and referenced by the Songbook entry. They don't have a follow ...

Hi Dennis, I've tried all sorts today as I have the same problem as you. It seems that there's no consistency with line break, carriage returns, spaces or tabs within the text files. I'd like to have a seperate line for each of the lines of the lyrics but they seem to appear in 1 long string making ...
