As much as a fully integrated Wavedrum kit would appeal to some of us, I can tell you that there is nothing on the immediate horizon for such a thing. I did vote "yes" though. :) Re: Zildjian GEN16 Believe it or not, I actually have a set of these as well and will be doing some consulting on the ...

Re: Ride Cymbal Program
Has anyone come up with a decent program for a ride cymbal? Head or rim would be fine. I think that is going to be very difficult to achieve, primarily because there aren't any isolated ride cymbal sounds in the PCM list, and the algorithms are not designed to create that type of sound. As is being ...

I voted NO. Sorry. Personally, I find the Mini to be very responsive to light finger playing, and I wouldn't want to interrupt that level of response at all. Plus, I actually like the feel of the pad surface, and I'd be afraid that having a textured surface would only wear on my skin. Your ...

Yes, playing on the edge of the head, especially closer to the main transducer, will elicit different sounds and textures. The "feel" of the head will also be "livelier" and bouncier as you get closer to the rim and away from the more deadened feel of the center of the head (which has the pressure ...

Re: Update!!!!
when I attach the clip to my guitar headstock with sound #37 and other percussion I actually hear the guitar coming through the speakers... I think that is just the result of the external trigger acting as a piezo/microphone and picking up the sound of the guitar as opposed to actually generating ...

Im a bit confused how hard i can hit on the logo plate with harder sticks/mallets ... Yikes! Don't hit that cover! :D I realize this topic has come up before but I didn't realize people were using the logo area as a playing surface. I remember seeing this video with Carl Palmer, and even he ...

Thanks for the support and encouragement, guys! I've been out of the loop all week due to some very unusual and severe weather. The Nor'easter that hit us last week took out my power, heat and running water. It's been six days so far and it looks like I won't get anything back for at least another ...

First things first! As you are editing, the most important thing to remember is to save, save, save...AND SAVE! Save all your work as you go along. It is far too easy to unwittingly undo hours of work if you don’t take this precaution. For the same reason, it’s also a good idea to write down all you ...

Editing on the Wavedrum: Tips & Tricks
Editing on the Wavedrum: Tips & Tricks I’ve been meaning to start this thread for several months now. I’ll probably add to this as we go along, and hopefully others will too. If you have any good shortcuts or workarounds, feel free to share! Some of this may seem obvious to those familiar with the W ...

Cool tip! I'll have to mess around with that when I get a chance. One of my favorite sounds on the Mini is program #58 " Bass SEQ ." Funky bass sound that works really well with some of the built-in effects. Fun stuff! I did a video shoot for the Mini a couple of months ago. Hopefully some of that ...

is there just one reference for Remo fiberskin, the Ft-0510-00 ? The correct code is: FA-0510-00 . The " A " refers to Ambassador (med) weight. There is also an FD model (Diplomat - thin) but I don't think it will work as well on the Wavedrum. One thing I wonder, at the center of the head, under ...

Time to bump another thread! :o Due to some of the work I've been doing recently, I've gained a different perspective on how head choices can affect the Wavedrum. In the past, most of my assessments were based on having one Wavedrum and switching heads. Now that I've been working extensively with ...
