@shakuh I'm glad you bumped this thread because I was just going to modify one, very minor, thing. It should be inconsequential but I wanted to correct it anyway. In the above tun parameter, I've changed the third setting from 44 to 45 . I say "inconsequential" because that algorithm, #20 Koto ...

One noteworthy thing about the Head PCM #49 Tumba Open : If you isolate just that sound, and tune it up high, it's not a bad substitute for a woodblock/jamblock type sound, which is another instrument that is strangely absent from the factory list. :? Depending on how you set the decay, you can get ...

Log Drum program for the Wavedrum

Hi guys, One thing I've always thought the Wavedrum could use is a decent Log Drum (Slit Drum) program. I've come up with a few variations on that type of sound but it's very difficult to reproduce what a Log Drum actually sounds like. I own a couple of different "real" Log Drums, and they've always ...

I also noticed that the manual that came in the box is the same as for the original version SILVER, and That a separate supplement is provided, that stuff myself having to look at book and of juggling two eyes to complete list sounds and loops, they are idlers among KORG or what? ... so I did it ...

I had to weigh-in on this topic again. I'm finding that I'm not too fond of the AUX IN after all. I've used it a number of times in demo situations, and a couple of times live when inputs to the main mixer were limited, but it's not something I usually do on my own. I've been playing around a lot ...

WaterDrum, I still can't seem to make sense out of these files. Is it possible to post something in a different format? I'm getting a spreadsheet of sorts, but the data is very confusing on my screen. I'm running a Mac with "Numbers" but it usually isn't a problem to automatically convert xls files ...

That said, even when loaded into live mode there are some programs that still have a bit of a stutter when activated, so attempts at a seamless transition would still be for nought. Hmmm, this shouldn't be happening. Let me point something out though. Once you assign sounds to all the Live Mode ...

WaterDrum, I applaud your adventures in the search for more functionality for the Wavedrum, but I'm still confused about your results. Are you simply using the external triggers to trigger sounds from OTHER devices besides the Wavedrum or are your external triggers activating sounds from within the ...

The only "new" thing coming out for the trade shows is the Wavedrum Mini. I haven't heard about any other models yet.

Oh, you guys would probably LOVE these then: http://francois.baschet.free.fr/front.htm The Baschet Sound Sculptures. Believe it or not, I used to have access to a collection of these on a nearly daily basis. Very cool and innovative instruments. Click on "the story" link from that site to see ...

just as u wld not us a Moog to program a grand piano u wouldn't use a wavedrum to program a drumset... This is something that seems to come up quite a bit. I would have to agree that the Wavedrum is not going to replicate a full kit very well, nor was designed to. Yes, you can get drumset sounds ...

u might try program 84 with the rim algorithms from program 97 ,i can't hear my mallet strike over my studios speakers. I think you mean program 87 (Cold Wind)? If so, you could blend the Thunder and Wind into one program by switching out the Rim PCM sound of Program #87 Cold Wind from the factory ...

There are a few things to consider here. As has been mentioned by others, it can be difficult to activate that thunder sound on the rim with just the hands but it really depends on WHERE you are striking. It's quite easy with a hard or med-hard timpani mallet, especially if you strike the rim near ...
