I know what you mean by "thin" but thats not really the correct word to use. I have the Kronos and have had a PC3 before it (miss it a lot!). The reason why a lot of people here are disagreeing with you is because its not that the Kronos is "thin" sounding. Its what I call the "Korg" sound. All ...

Yeah I dont know about that video. He has the V-Piano going through tannoy 501a while the Kronos through something else entirely. I have a Kronos and have played Roland's V-Piano and V-Grand many times. Try it for yourself but for me you cant even compare the 2. The best way I can describe the V ...

I find it interesting how some compare roland and korg. I remember when the Kronos came out people naturally were comparing to what else is on the market. I found it funny and ironic how when the Integra 7 came out Korg fans went, ha! roland! all they do is release there old stuff in new forms ...

Indeed, really the SRX library are some of the best sounds around, even today. Little known fact, a lot of them were made by Spectrasonic for roland. Not all of them but most.

I always prefer rack versions. I was hoping korg would make a rack version of the Kronos but doesnt seem like it will happen. Or hell ill even take a full software version of the Kronos, all engines and everything. I know they can at the very least do that. They are already running of the shelf PC ...

Anyone got a N364 or N264?

Im trying to re-create the Program Big Strings (B-02 I think it was) on my Kronos. Was wondering if someone can tell me all the parameters used so I can go about porting it to the Kronos.

The Kurzweil Harpsichord is actually my 2nd fav. after the roland one. Before downloading the Roland Harpsichord. Know that they are Roland samples. I believe the law is you can use the samples if you actually own the hardware they come from. Of course you can just download it anyway, I dont know ...

Yeah, plisken, it's really hard to understand why Korg doesn't have something as one of their 9 synth engines, at not much more than half the price for all of them, compared to a V-Piano from Roland, which costs 7000$ alone. If you divide the price for a KronosX 88 by 9 (engines), then you get the ...
