keys: i really like the keys. they feel solid and robust not "plasticky" and the action is really good as well. the keys are a pleasant surprise for me as i wasn't expecting to really feel one way or another about them. i can't recall my motif xs keys so much but i do remember that i felt the ...

screen saver: i feel like there should be a screen saver for the display. i'm concerned there is going to be burn in. i guess this wouldn't have been a problem with the triton series since it was greyscale or something similar right? i believe the m3 was color. does it have a screen saver? was ...

start up time: my board clocked in with a startup time this morning of 2:19.7 (iPhone stopwatch). as i wrote in another thread, it is not the quickest startup but also did not feel inordinately long to me. i think as these boards become better and more computer like, we will be looking at a shift ...

data wheel: the data wheel certainly doesn't feel like the sturdiest knob, but it doesn't bother me either (maybe i just have low expectations). mine has not come off and i exerted a little pressure to see if it would pop off although i'm not trying to break it if it isn't already broken either. i ...

Quick Impressions from Someone New to Korg

now that i have the board at home and have been sitting down with it off and on throughout the day (very short bursts only) i thought i should take a little time to provide some of my specific feedback. screen: it is the best i've seen on a keyboard. i even prefer it to the open labs miko keyboard i ...

it wasn't the fastest startup but it also didn't bother me much. i'm not certain what the right comparison is though for startup time - the motif may not be the most analogous. the kronos seems to be somewhere past the traditional workstation and more similar to the hybrid keyboard computers i.e ...

Re: Korg Midi Driver / Mac

I also hope they're working on 10.7 as well, as one of my machines is running Lion .... :/ Reading the specs, it doesn't say 64 bit for Mac. Can anyone confirm? This has been put off in the past. Sure hoping it is or that Korg is on it.. USB MIDI Driver This is the latest USB MIDI driver, which is ...

I got a call this morning stating that my board had arrived and would ship out today. Remember I was half way down the list - although I don't know how large the list was. If it was a big list, perhaps the delay was due to how many boards they were receiving from Korg.

At the risk of being on topic, has anyone heard from Sweetwater about their Kronos 61 having shipped today? I have been in touch with them since Monday (based on me reaching out to them not the other way around). I was told that they may get some of the Kronos 61 on Tuesday or Wednesday. I was also ...

Re: Chicago?

I know we're the second city, but anyone know if any Kroni are coming to Chicago soon? Unless the sound REALLY blows the M3 out of the water, I'm probably going to stick with the M3-73. I am soooo bummed there is no semi-weighted 73 Kronos. The 61 is worthless for piano and splits, and the 73 and ...

Hi everyone, I'm Andrea Gozzi from Redmatica. We are currently evaluating adding direct Kronos file support to our line of creative sampling apps (Keymap Pro and AutoSampler), and we were wondering how much interest there would be about it. Any feedback is welcome. In case you don't know us yet ...
