My 2 cents...soryy for the length. I'm trying to decide between Kronos and Motif XF. I'm sure Kronos is a much advanced instrument in technological terms and has lots of potential. But! this is not a computer I buy today and need it to be strong enough for video games which will come out next year ...

Since many people here are guessing, I might try as well.
Maybe the touch screen is generating heat which is projected downwards to this point, and the fan is located there to prevent the heat from building up?
