Not a piece of manuscript in sight. I don't know how you do it Chuck.
Awww - thanks Lester :)
I don't know how I do it either - its just something I've been able to do all my life (play what I hear).

Well if it was an accurate rendering of what was written down then I would agree yes goes without saying. Altered notes and timing etc are a different matter, thats all I was saying. Ahh yes. Altered notes & timing are what makes it unique! I do many classical (and non-classical) pieces with ...

Chuck, I don't know if your thumbs up at the end was a subliminal message, but it worked, I did give it a thumbs up on the video and left a comment. Nice job. You know Hal, I never made the connection of my usual "thumbs up" at the end of most of my videos with Youtube listeners clicking the thumbs ...

Should state this in an interpretation - not quite the way JS wrote it. I felt that your version perhaps owed a little to the Sky version. I wasn't keen on the percussion interpretation - but I quite like how Sky bring that in a bit later, so I wouldn't want you to exclude it. Organists are ...

ed_f: Should go without saying that its an interpretation. Actually, no one knows how the original of any classical piece is supposed to sound since the only recording device back then was pen & paper (music notation)... so all performances are interpretations. Well if it was an accurate rendering ...

Re: Cathedral Organ Combi - Bach's Tocatta & Fugue

It's too bad Bach wasn't around to play/see/hear the marvel of the Kronos  The pipe organ was the synthesizer of it's day. Push a button and different sound... incredible! Yes, that's right! And Bach created some great music with it... downright mathematical sounding at times... so I could not ...

The keyboard itself (with up to 88 keys, w/ velocity, aftertouch, sustain and/or expression pedal, modulation/pitch/bender and any other controls) can do a great job of giving you control of just about any patch you choose, but it will NOT be able to reproduce all the nuances and uniqueness of that ...

To the best of my knowledge: Sampling becomes piracy when you sample anything copyrighted. Sampling sounds from another manufacturer's instrument is not piracy. That being said, anytime you use or incorporate any copyrighted work(s), you are violating that person/band's copyright. It doesn't matter ...

Cathedral Organ Combi - Bach's Tocatta & Fugue

So I was messing around with different combi's and as soon as I hit the Cathedral Organ combi, it inspired me to play something on that combi .... so I tried my hand at Bach's Tocatta & Fugue in D Minor. What an AWESOME sounding combi!!! It's too bad Bach wasn't around to play/see/hear the marvel of ...

That was way cool and fun. That combi was perfect for this. Your trademark smile at the end was priceless. I see you kept your designer, made in Japan, label on your keys : ) Thanks, Hal! That label on the highest key makes it unique... I like "unique" :) especially my perfectly designed ...

Hey great fun. And no shoes and socks on either. About that dirty bit......I hope you washed between your toes. :? :3drofl: That's kind of a signature of mine - I almost never perform with shoes or socks in the studio. Only on stage (which means I'm being paid to wear shoes & socks) :P

Beethoven - Quick & Dirty

Just for fun & giggles... I did a quick & dirty version of Beethoven's 9th symphony, 2nd movement on Combi Int-A003 "Orchestra & Timpani".
Enjoy!

and if they are licensed libraries, they won't work on the other Kronos. Total insanity! +1 Any library you've purchased from Korg (ie: Austrian Piano, etc) will not work on any machine except the specific machine ID that you purchased it for. Xfering to any other Kronos will not match the machine ...
