First, read: Switched from Motif to Kronos Then, it's doable but if you really want to have the whole power of AWM2 on Kronos, you may need a Combi for each Voice on Motif XF when the following happens: - The Voice uses more than 2 Elements. Because you can only have 2 oscillators on HD-1. You can ...

But this doesn't solve the question: how can someone tell if the SSD has or not that data when applying the procedure? How can we still asume the SSD will have that data available? How can we apply that without knowing for sure if the information will be restored or not? Because that's how it works ...

Simple. The Kronos is not a PC. Even though it may have PC parts in it, it's not. Never was and never will be. Don't expect it to behave like a PC and don't expect Korg to have to account for every DIY'er out there that knowingly violated his own warranty by modifying their Kronos. The reformat ...

Personally, I have not heard of a single KRONOS with a "bricked" SSD. If the SSD did have a catastrophic failure, it would need to be replaced - by an authorized service center, who as part of the replacement would re-calibrate the unit. So, as far as I can tell this is a non-issue. Neither I do ...

If it was the original SSD, it's there. What is the issue, exactly? Now, if you've violated your warranty by replacing the original SSD on your own, yes, you will have lost your calibration data. Is it possible that's the real issue that you're upset about? - Dan I'm not upset, I'm cocerned :( If ...

We both know that no Korg employee ever said that to you. What we know, and has been told here is that if you ever format and restore the Kronos with the DVD, then you're screwed because that calibration data will be lost forever. Actually, we don't know that either - in fact, the calibration data ...

But to recap on the original point of me wanting the service manual, it was only after a Korg employee said there was hidden calibration data on the SSD Not hidden per se, but yes, there is calibration data on the SSD as I've said before. Yes, I've seen a hidden file regarding calibration on the ...

Try this: Editing Drum Kits

However, I have the strong impression that GM Drum Kits are not editable... maybe you'll able to save those with a new name (which indeed is advisable), so you can edit those.

Yeah, I must admit that from every high end workstation I've owned, like Kurweil, Yamaha and Access... the knobs on Kronos are the worst of all them

Your next step may be controlling everything from External mode on Control Surface... by doing so, I'm assuming you'll go into some MIDI routings on the DAW in order that some of the MIDI that is going out from the Control Surface will return to Kronos and therefore will control the internal Timbres ...
