You must have bad technique! Just kidding! From the 3 bad keybeds that I've seen it has something to do with the key bouncing and causing a double trigger. The floor model at GC is much worse than it was a few weeks ago. Early on I had to play lightly to get the noteoff problem to manifest but ...

Thanks for the encouragement but I'm sure the one I'm getting is from stock before the fix, they just had it shipped from another GC store that already had one. Of course I'll be thrilled if it works as it should but I'm willing to take it to a service center for the new keybed if it needs one. The ...

Well, I ordered another k88 tonight from GC and they are drop shipping it to me and it should be here next week. I hope it doesn't have the keybed issue but I'm 99% sure it will have. I called the nearest korg service center and was told it will be 4 to 6 weeks to get it back because they are so ...

Yes, thanks PianoManChuck. I've returned 2 k88 keyboards and I've been very frustrated with the lack of communication from korg concerning the note-off problem. I sold my kurzweil pc2x so now I'm using my old triton until can get an 88 key. I tried a motif xf8 yesterday and while it did sound good ...

Notice the carefully chosen wording, "solution", as opposed to "fix". Is it a temporary solution, permanant solution, partial solution, WHAT? At first I was excited by the announcement but now upon further inspection it looks like something to get them through NAMM. I hope I'm wrong but this ...

PianoManChuck, I'm pretty sure the two issues you asked about are actually one and the same problem. Thd double trigger actually causes the note cut off problem so I'm pretty sure this will require a physical trip to a service center. I just talked to my local GC manager aand he hasn't heard ...

Well, I guess you might say I've still got some notes cutting off but at least I have been notified about the repairs (so to speak)!

Thanks Bertotti, I have three blockages but they are 50% or less so I'll go on some different meds to help keep it in check. The kronos is the best sounding workstation I've heard. The pianos are superb, the ep's are excellent and the synth material very good. I'm sure there will be additional sound ...

Thanks Aron,

It will take a few days to fully recover but I'd love to be able to pick up a fully functional kronos buy the time the weight restriction expires in 7 days!

Well, I had my heart cath yesterday and I'm back home recovering waiting on news from korg about the kronos fix. I really miss it and hope they get it sorted out quickly. I really can't see any other company producing something that can outdo it but until it is up to full speed its just a nice ...

Sina172 said: so if it's THAT bad for you, why not save youeself the stress and get your money back? Sina 172, that's exactly what I did. I'm glad you've got 3 working units but I've had two that had defective keybeds and played on another! It is frustrating to hear of those who have no problems or ...

I returned my k88 today to GC and they were great. I can honestly say they have gone the extra mile in trying to help me get one that works properly. I've had several korg synths over the years and never had any problems but the kronos has been a real bust. The sound is superb but it will take a ...

Well, I got the Kronos boxed up and ready to return tomorrow. I set my kurzweil pc2x up and it was good to say goodbye to note cut off problems. Wow, what a difference in sound. The kronos is so far ahead in terms of sound it's not even funny. The kurz seems very dull now after playing the kronos ...

I have taken one 88 key back and the one I have now has the note off problem. I think there might be a conspiracy against those who are having problems with defective units to paint them all as bitchers, whiners, complainers. I am frustrated with Korg because of their silence for almost a month ...

BrickPilot,

What version of Kronos do you have - 61, 73, 88?

I might have overlooked it in your post, if so, I'm sorry but it would be benifical if we see a trend develope.
