Akai lpd8 works, because all the akai range work with class compliant driver. It is cheap, but its pads are less convincing than korg ones.

Do you know if a bank developed on a Kronos OS 3.02 can be converted to be used by the Oasys? Some guys asked me for my soundset to be available for the Oasys also.

there is no Karma at all. Sound motion is all made with un complex set of LFOs which modulate Waveshaper's gain on each FM operator and filters. I have made a sequence to demonstrate it, and I move parameters in real time on this sequence.

I'm not sure to understand: you would like to record the vector envelope motion in the MIDI sequencer? MIDI sequencer can record the movement you make with vector joystick while you move it in realtime recording. But vector envelope is designed to move by itself: so, you don't need to "record" it ...

I have a UPS ES550 since I have the Kronos. It saved its life at least twice on bad gig conditions...I works fine. You have about 15 to 20 minutes with battery backup in case something goes wrong with power supply.

I have created a patch that allows a Kronos to turn into a FM BeatBox, making it able to tweak sound and beat in realtime. It produces cheaptune beatbox sounds, but very incisive and dynamic.
