Daz' Randomizer is a great tool to get to sounds you normally would not program. I highly recommend it.... and btw feel sorry, that Daz is no longer around. Would be interested to know his point of view concerning O&K... not "ok" - but I am getting off topic.

I did not write that I will purchase a KRONOS, nor did I write that in the case I decide for one I would order it from Sweetwater. When I was a Kurzweil K2500 user I bought several things from them and they always provided a great service. Even after years they contacted me and frankly, I would like ...

Hi Pieter, ... how could I have missed that posting. What else can I say than "thank you" for these very kind words. As mentioned somewhere else already - I would be glad if KORG will provide a KRONOS for reviewing and maybe record some demos. Whatever... again, let me thank you, Pieter. Peter ps ...

@ Bach42t - thank you very much for your kind words. I started a thread in which I collected some demos made with OASYS EXis which will be found in KRONOS (eg MOD-7): http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=58263 - and these were mostly factory sounds I used. @ Charlie - ... thanks ...

I have not seen such an unprofessional website for quite a while. Hope their instruments are more up to date.

.... not really missing as KRONOS comes already with a lot of great sounding EXis. But now that I saw the Fairlight anniversary edition, I thought would'nt it be cool to get the possibility of "wave drawing" with an USB connected "pencil" and edit sounds on KRONOS' screen?

.... and it is new, has warranty, spare parts will most likely be longer available and I am sure we could find many more points for KRONOS. You are right Billy, it is a no brainer as long as both share the same sonic quality.

I had the OASYS on the Spider for quite a while and did not experience any problems. The arms have been extended the entire way, as you mentioned and it was reliable. But meanwhile I moved and also changed my setup: http://blog.petermmahr.com/2011/01/11/studio-fotos-2011/ Now only CP1 remains on the ...
