I feel like a dingus, I installed audacity and tried to record and played it back and it worked! Thanks for helping anyways Do you happen to know of any better programs to use to record other than audacity for ubuntu?

Just checked that, it was turned down, but it didn't solve the problem. Is there a software I need to have open for it to play? It wouldn't just play through the speakers without any type of program open would it?

I have Ubuntu OS, and I'm trying to get my KP3 to hook into my computer to have it play through my computer speakers. Is there any type of software I need for this?
