A pitty that you need something over 61 keys, so the Novation Mk II series will not fulfill your needs. I have the 61 keys keyboard and like it very much because: - good action of the keys, inclulding aftertouch - I like the nobs, sliders, buttons and it's touch sensitivity - good, easy, and ...

Yes ... me too ... my Kronos came out ot the box and has never been moved since. But the other day the lever was loose, when I touched it. First idea was to screw it down but there was no force ... it just turned and turned and came off at the weakest pulling. I guess, since both pieces seem to be ...

What about a physical modelling synth for wind or brass instruments? I like the STR-1 and would love to have a WND-1 too :P

Just dreaming ... :)

Jeremykeys: I've looked for that "all IFX used" box and can't seem to locate it. Where, exactly, do you find it? Thanks! Corgy: Yeah, I was hitting the popup button rather than the category popup. Thanks for helping this newb. I think what Jeremykeys was suggesting is that you can "copy from ...

Re: Newb Questions

1. I don't know what I did, but for some reason my "Category Program Select" option has now disappeared whenever I try to assign patches on tracks. In other words, I was once able to see the categories of "Piano, Organ, Brass, Strings, etc." to the left of the patch options. Now it's not there. It ...

Re: I need help updating my Kronos

I get no indication on my computer that tells me where and how the file is. For the future you could also tell Firefox to save downloads to a location of your choice. There are two options. Defining a general location for downloads or defining the location each time before a download is started. To ...

+1 Yes it is.

We should get some credits from Cakewalk for marketing

UCanDream: Don't worry about Sonar X1,X2,X3 differences if demos are concerned. For a first look to a DAW I would recommend to check out the GUI and workflow and how you come along with it. With the "X"-releases Sonar comes with a new GUI and workflow enhancement that has been improved and replaced ...

Hi UCanDream... It's really about purpose and budget. There is much to find that can fulfill your needs and what may fit to your personal taste. My advice would be, check out some of the big ones and study them by their demos or video resources. IMHO they have a similar level of quality if sound is ...

Aside question: for those who've had any WEIGHTED version of kronos for quite some time, how does the keybed hold? Did you notice any serious signs of wear and tear, malfunction, etc? Got the 88 version since more than a year. I like the sensitivity of velocity, action of the keys and weight. It ...

Got Kronos and Virus Ti2 in my setup, which complement each other very well. Architecture: Ti2 seems to be a traditional VA synth, but only at first glance. The Ti2 sports very versatile OSC modes (classic, hypersaw, wavetable, grain, formant synthesis). The classic OSC mode compares to the ...

For me Karma was an important feature to get the Kronos at all. I wanted to get some companions to jam with and got something that keeps me inspired since more than a year. I am not using it for life playing, but got a lot of song ideas just by improvising with Karma accompaniment. :D

The first part of the melody (the arpeggiated chord) reminds me of a flute piece in 4/4... Yes, you are right. I thought about this too when hearing the first bars, not quite the same but very similar to "Badinerie", the last movement of Bach's Suite No. 2 in B minor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v ...

Just a wild guess ... Good chance that I am completely wrong ... the first phrase reminds me of music from the age of baroque, like Bach, Vivaldi, Teleman ... when I substitute the piano with an orchestra (violins etc.) and change a little about the phrasing and accentuation in my imagination ...
