... You will may have to ask Corgy as I think he is a Sonar user. ... Yep, I am :D What Ian26 suggests is the way to achieve your goal as you described it in your first post. Record your Kronos audio, add more audio and/or FX if you like, perfrom a mixdown/mastering and export your master *.wav ...

... I tryed his method (saved my kronos song in midi format and imported it in Sonar) and now, if I press the “play button” in Sonar, the whole song will play (my kronos will play it, of course). The problem now is: how can I export it to audio?? And, if possible, can I export the 16 midi tracks as ...

Here is my quick and dirty method to bounce midi to audio. It's not that "one button hit" thing as for a VST in SONAR, but it does the job. Just record the output of the Kronos to audio tracks internally using the sequencer mode. Each instrument of a midi track is routed to an output channel (like L ...

From another Kronos/SONAR user ... The first solution of Ian26 of having the midi of your song in Sonar sounds pretty to the point of getting best synchronisation results. Exporting from Kronos to Sonar via midi file/usb stick or recording the midi directly in Sonar get's you there easily. There is ...

Thanks Corgy, that sounds like it may help! I'll try. It seemd strange to me that it would reload even if I used the exact same instrument but with a different keyboard zoning. Jeff, your laptop is about a year newer than mine (i7 2670QM, 8GB RAM, 120GB system SSD and 750GB regular HDD for the rest ...

Re: Kronos vs Komplete (and then some)

2. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't think Forte likes Kontakt a lot. If I have a bunch of libraries loaded (e.g. Scarbee Rhodes, Alicia's Keys, Session Strings Pro) it seems to take a lot of time to switch between scenes, even if all that changes is a couple of mute switches and the ...

Just a question about KARMA. Are the Karma performances and GEs in the Kronos supporting gospel like music? Never found a program or combi like this. But there are so many ... I might have overlooked them. IMHO getting the KARMA software and learning to create own gospel-performances or GEs could be ...

For me the Kronos is allmost a musical companion and I use it for live jamming and rehearsal. It's pretty much not to beat by software, if you compose your tunes in real time and want to capture your ideas on the fly. But if you want to compose using a step by step process, eventually taking ...

Awesome, you really cleared up some things for me. I thought that each control on the Kronos had a finite cc# but as you stated they are user assignable. Thank you so much for helping out. Maybe Dan from Korg can weigh in on the transport functions and the VST part. In the sonar tutorials it says ...

Well ... here we are again :D After some trials I can tell that the Kronos can be used as a control surface in Sonar. It's quite easy to get the sliders, buttons, and knobs to work. But up to now I have no idea how to get the start/stop/forward/rewind etc. buttons in the game. There is a Global/Midi ...

Hi thanks, I am using sonar x1 producer. I would like to able to control the transport functions, the vol faders, pan, mute and solo for 16 channels. Also sonar allows you to control Vst function that are in focus from a controller so not sure if Kronos could do that. I could just buy another piece ...

Re: Control Surface of Kronos to control DAW

Has anyone set up a template in Sonar to control the Control Surface on the Kronos. When I try the kronos does not seem to send midi to the DAW so it will MIDI Learn. Any ideas? I am in EXT mode.. Thanks Okay ... don't have it myself, but if you tell me, what you would like to control in Sonar via ...

do you use kronos as a controller for sonar and if so, how do you have it setup? My answer depends on what you call a controller for Sonar. I use the Kronos as Midi-source and destination and audio-source for Sonar tracks, but not for controlling Sonar as a DAW. For Midi-control of the DAW I use a ...

Me too - coming from piano playing I am used to use those 88 keys - and it is also nice for splittings - just getting more or larger regions. But I wanted a new master keyboard anyway ... :D
