I don't use it much because: - it's not so much different from the userinterface of the keyboard, you allmost exchange only your finger tip with the mouse - it's too small in size on the computer monitor - it's not integrating smooth in my 64 bit studio environment - it's no audio channel in my DAW ...

Depends much on your mix. Examples: - more punch could be achieved with a compressor, - more balance in the sound spectrum with an EQ as sayed before - it's very subjective and it depends on the style of your music. Your "drum track" may be a "classic drum set" but also an "electronic beat machine ...

I have to go with "I use them no problem" without a doubt. KORG manuals are some of the best written manuals I've read. My daughters MP3 player on the other hand, that one reads like a manual for a tractor, or some other non MP3 related item. Regards Sharp. Yes, the documentation is VERY good ...

On the first day I followed the factory set list, checked out each of the sounds, tried the Karma and Drum button and was jamming. I can't exactly remember how long it took but it was like traveling in a time machine bubble where outside time was much faster. Then I checked lots of the combis and ...

I got the unit and after about 5 minutes reading the little 4 page sheet that came in the box and playing with the thing about 15 more minutes, sequencer solved! So, 5-7 hours of effort before I got the unit arrive and I was confused, 20 minutes after it arrive I had a fundamental understanding of ...

Yes, that is true - I also learned much from QR's videos - way faster than with the paperware. Go and see yourselfJPWC wrote:Listen to the great QR, he's all pro!
And while his videos are great, I have to wear my reading glasses as his font choice is to match the pitch of the Kronos.
But it's worth it.

I'm not worried about sounds but complexity of the instrument. I have never ever owned a synth or workstation! I want a kronos but I also don't want to be in way over my head. The reading of the manual is t horrible but there is a lot in there I dont understand. I think it will make more sense once ...

You should take some time to dig into the Kronos though, so if you like tweaking on your intuition with fysical knobs, you might end up regretting buying it. There is a compromise with the physical knobs. You can redefine knobs and sliders and set them to change various synthesizer parameters. It's ...

One nice reference for classical, but still often used sounds is the "synth heroes" presets series for the Arturia Origin: http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/presets.html It covers various styles from Joe Zawinul and Pink Floyd over Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode up to Lady Gaga. Same for ...

That is looking really promising QR, please let me know as soon as you have it ready :) I don't mind some of the other stuff by the way :) And I even am trying to "re-invent" some tunes with the other genres available, so a mix is fine...just so I can get SOME of the particular genres I am after ...

@miden, just out of interest, is this combi something you like, or are you searching for a more traditional type of jazz? <iframe width="300" height="169" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/I76v6UPRt6o" frameborder="0"></iframe> That's what inspires me on the spot - from the first tune of your video ...
