For a lot of things that makes a lot of sense. But if you think you will do a lot of sequencing work, for myself I find a lot of things on the Kronos sequencer can drive me mad or are missing. But as with most things discussed in the forums depends so much on your needs. Yes, what you need and what ...

I think Sander makes a good point. But, it also depends on what you want to do. One reason I use Logic is the environment. I like to have all kinds of control of my gear through my DAW. You will find threads all over here of people saying "How can I change X on my Kronos" With the Logic environment ...

Any DAW can import RAW tracks relatively simply. I've exchanged both ways between Logic, Protools, Sonar, Reaper, Cubase and Ableton. That said, if your colleagues around you are all on a certain DAW, it's definitely useful to be able to give them whole projects. As for bigger studios, while many ...

In the sequencer, the keyboard plays only the track/channel you have selected for it. If you wanted to prepare this rather than do it on the fly it would actually be better to set that timbre's status to "off" to avoid stealing voices through polyphony limitations. Not as quick as hitting a mute ...

The best DAW is the one you know how to operate. There are relatively few differences between the big ones that are worth noting. That is definitely true for all computer programs, generally speaking. Most people get sick of hearing the hype, "got to get the latest and greatest," where most people ...

That's what I meant - select a track that you don't want to be sounding (either the track you'd normally be playing live or an "empty" one), mute it, and hammer away. I guess that's what throws me. As far as I know the keyboards are always "live" - on, unless the master volume is zeroed which would ...

Right, so just mute whichever track you've selected for the keyboard to play. I think we missed on this one. I'm talking about pretending to be playing on the keyboard with the keyboard and/or premixed instrumental tracks on. As far as I know, that could only be accomplished by muting the keyboard ...

And for those that use Logic - I did basically the same thing for it a few months back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcC3X_uvnUQ i've watched it ed_f, that's a great tutorial for the people that use logic. If you want i could add a link on my site to your video with your name attached to it so ...

May-be you had selected a different karma scene when you played it the first time (with the buttons directly beneath the knobs when in RT KNOBS/KARMA mode). Or did you may-be use the COMBI INT-C 023 Chasing Vector SW1 instead, which uses PROG INT-A 056? Because in your title you are talking about a ...

Can't Replicate Program Sound
Last night I was composing a tune, on Pgm 1A, 56 Piano Wire SW1, to be exact. It sounded great! The 1st chord was without karma, and the 2nd one I turned it on, however, as soon as karma was turned on, unlike the previous night, when the karma was varying the sound of the chord the previous night ...
